Seems like you have a Jap variant which will have its own ECU. Doubt you'd want to swap any other ECU (eg Euro) for that - almost sure to be different. What's the concern - car not running right?

Gs are rarer than Zs over there - where in Cali

Its the wife's car primarily mate. I do spend a fair bit of time West Coast, US and on g35driver (which is equivalent my350z for Gs to you guys) - bit of a forum-freak in terms of soaking stuff up. Don't have a g35 and can't get one here - so next best (controversial )
