I would contact him and ask if he has receipts for all the renault parts that were replaced and any bills for the repairs.
If thats all good I would say invest in a full car check. might cost a £150 but it will a) put your mind at rest and b)if its been done badly it will be spotted. ( if you don't have the car knowledge jacks etc to have a good scan round. Make the report a condition of sale
If it goes for that sort of money it could be a bargin - a lot of car for your money but remember that you will equally get less when you sell it.
ye and it may go up loads tomorrow anyway,

Yes sorry didnt have time to formulated a reasoned response earlier,
Cat D means insurance co. deceided not to repair on economic grounds, generally means not too bad a write off, however most dealers will not retail such a car and more importantly most insurance co, will not insure a car on the "hit list"
From your point of view buying it to make a quick buck will probably be a waste of time as most private buyers are clued up to HPI the vechicle before buying and mention of Insurance Cat D will send even the most ardent customers scurring away
besides which most Cat d vehicles end up with a cut corner repair to earn the seller a quick buck

I had this plate on my mod'ed saxo, messed with the 3 so it looked like TIGHT, it was on show in the max power a few years, any of you what reed max power will know the saying TIGHT,

I went straight to the manufacturer, then did a Kelkoo on it. Found the e-buyer price. Had a funny feeling they might get stopped supply at that price.......
Try doing a Kelkoo on the model you want. see what you get, but I'd be suprised if anywhere matches that price

chasing you, LOL Couldn't they keep up
i got up 2 roads befour they got me, was racing a scooby hammered it like but he had the last laugh, clocked speed at 88mph on a 60 i got upto 110 though

Try the TDS TR30 Lite. Got the top reviews in the recent Autoexpress test. (But I know the Origin is meant to be good as well)

Better kit than Road Angel, handles Specs really well..... comes with a detachable laser detector so that when they make them illegal, then you can just carry on without. Really configurable and you can even have Yoda or Homer Simpson telly you about cameras!
Normally about £250 but I got a brand new one from E-Buyer for about £100 cheaper!

well i had a snooper s5 but it went off all the time and i never used it, and ended up loosing it, had 6 points come through at once right laugh
one was a speed gun other was police chasing me when i dint know, there really bad around here hide in trees and everything
