Anything is possible - but can it be done by the non-geek namby pamby white Macbook Starbucks flavoured coffee drinking comfy armchair lavender scented bath oils 21st century fellow such as myself?

Daily at about 8am - I see you passing on the outside lane of the M5 around J11 or J11a as I'm on the outside lane going northbound!
Seen you about 10 times

Anyone successfully installed this on iPad/iPhone/Android?
Cheers

I had Pzero Rosso Asymmettrico on my Z for about 20k miles and thought they were terrific. They lasted for ages, both dry and wet weather grip were well above average and they put up with a fair amount of track work.
I didn't replace them with the same though - good as they were they were pricey compared to T1Rs or FK452, which I what I went for.

When you say good, is that good in terms of Gandhi/Apocalypse Now/Amadeus/Last Emperor/Godfather 2/Empire Strikes Back/Full Metal Jacket, or good in terms of Expendables/Commando/the first F&F film?

Sod the GC get the NES!
I still have mine with duck hunt
marble madness, mario etc...
This thread is getting out of hand - all you rose tinted game freaks
(I am one of you too
)
I have a NES already with a full complement of games
Just lacking in Xbox 1, GC and PS2
Thanks for the suggestions so far - any more?
Quick question - I only played Resident Evil on the original PS, and Code Veronica on the DC. Is it worth getting RE2, 3 and Zero for the GC, or another format?
-
Lots of good games here!
Any more for the GC in particular?

Nabbed from another forum
Edit - best watched in HD and full screen

No, but I got my name in the February 1988 issue of Your Sinclair with my high score on Green Beret

Hiya!
I've got pretty much every console released since 1987 (except a PC Engine or Turbografx - sore point!) and up until the Xbox/PS2/Gamecube era bought and played most of the high profile, and lots of the obscure, games.
I am a little addicted to buying and owning all this stuff, as unlike most other artforms, a lot of old games will simply just disappear, at least on the original system it came out on.
I now have a Xbox 360, Wii and PS3 which have a decent selection of games.
My Dreamcast collection is basically sorted (essentially all I needed were Shenmue 1 and 2, Powerstone, MSR and PSO).
What I have missed out on are the original Xbox, GC and PS2, and to some extent, PC from 2000-now.
Now I know a lot of old games are essentially obsolete, stuff like football and other sport games, but I think that there are loads of classics that I have missed out on and should probably get, with a view to finishing them sometime in the next decade! Generally I'm thinking of games that were platform specific or great updates of PS1 era games.
So, what do you recommend? I have already made a list of ones that I already have or know about, but would welcome your thoughts on what I should buy. Given that Game and Gamestation are now selling games from these platforms at about £2-5 each, £50 ought to go a long way!
Xbox
Halo
Halo 2
Prince of Persia 1, 2 and 3
Forza 1 (already completed)
MGS 3
Gamecube
Rogue Squadron 2
Resident Evil
Metroid
PS2
Maybe nothing as pretty much everything decent is multiplatform and has either come out on the Xbox, Xbox 360 or PS3?
Thanks

Thanks fella!
I appreciate your sentiments. I have a great JVC CRT which I will not ever throw away as it is a terrific set, with standard DVD.
My biggest issue was still buying DVDs, which led me to buy a PS3, and may as well get a Hi Def Plasma while I am at it.
I have no expectations of either the technology or the screen itself lasting as long as a decent CRT would.
hey ho

Red Dead Redemption? I have avoided this game as I need to keep a job!

All good stuff - plenty of food for thought
Off topic: regarding the Asda petrol in a Z comment, I did a experiment with mine. For the first 20k miles including 2 trackdays and 3 ring trips, I only used Optimax (as it was back then) or Tesco 99 (or very occasionally £5 of normal 97 RON if I was in the middle of nowhere).
For the second 20k miles I only used standard 97 ron from supermarkets, whichever was cheapest.
I was anal enough to keep all the receipts. For each tank I wrote down the number of miles done till refill, and used the amount of fuel put in to the third "click" to calculate an accurate MPG.
There was no difference
and my ring times were better the second half, although that might have been due to the 5 trips I did that year
But I take your point - decent cables, in particular for audio, do make a difference. A guy I know spends £50 per metre of audio cable and buries them in sand under his floorboards!

Thanks for all your help people
bigbramble - your example is £800 over my budget!
I won't be using SCART for anything other than old games systems (N64 and Saturn) - everything else will be HDMI.
I think Plasma is the way forward:
The neoPDP screens are second to the Kuro ones, no?
-
It is but boy can you spend hours.. ...forget that DAYS trawling.
Exactly - I have done that and my brain hurts
-
LED might be the way ahead but not at that size in my price range!

I should seize the moment before Mrs Tt changes her mind
OK:
This TV needs to be 50", unless someone can tell me a 46" will be a better TV for the budget. Will watching a 46" at that distance actually be a better experience than a 50"?
It will be viewed from approximately 2 - 2.20 metres.
I have no idea about whether it LCD or Plasma. I need to be eddycated
It's going to be used for the usual things... TV, PS3, Xbox 360, dedicated DVD player, Mac, PC, amongst others. It'll be used for Blu-ray, DVD and games more than TV.
I don't have or need Sky/Virgin, so Freesat or Freeview +/- HD would be useful.
I assume it'll have the usual ports.... I'm certainly going to need component in, HDMI, scart x2 (x3 ideally), VGA, DVI and s-video. I know a lot of TVs have a digital out for audio, ideally if there is a co-ax out for the digital sound signal that would be better (due to all the other things that are plugged into my amp)
Does it need wifi/ethernet? What are the advantages?
Does it need a USB or SD card slot?
Budget - £700 as a maximum. There need to be overwhelming reasons to go higher than this.

Rallying at its best. I'm just glad I'm old enough to have watched these Group B cars in action before they banned em.
About 2 years ago I had to google "Group B" as I had no idea what it was
