My 56 Z has completed 25K faultless miles and then under no duress the clutch/dual mass flywheel started to fail with later and later uptake and far from smooth transition.
Took it to the Dealer and explained my predicament.
His response was that they would not test drive it to check my diagnosis but that I would have to immediately underwrite £500 for assembly removal, after which I must be prepared for a £2K plus bill for replacement if Nissan UK deem the problem to be fair wear and tear from the sight of a dig photo and report from the dealer.
Has anyone else had a similar experience and did they receive the same response.
Steve
Uprated JWT clutch and flywhhel is £1100 fitted.

Hi, new to forum and I need to replace backbox as original has crack - want something that improves sound under acceleration but not too intrusive when on motorway. Would the Nismo system fit the bill here and where is the best place to buy (I live in Edinburgh)?
Thanks
Alan
Welcome to the forum Alan.
Best option would probably be the Nismo as others have said, in stock at £850.
Another option to look at would be the 5Zigen Pro-Racer at £795

Ey up...
I've seen a few other threads about tyre shortages... Does anyone know if this is affecting Falkens too?
I ordered my wheels 2 weeks ago today, and every time i phone up on the day they should be being delivered, they keep daying "it'll be another couple of days - we're just waiting on 2 of the tyres."
They were sposed to be coming again tomorrow (3rd delivery date they've given me), but they've just said again now it'll be Monday or Tuesday next week. This time though, they said the boat should be arriving one of those days... but i dont know if i believe them! Is there any way i can lookup a delivery like that? Probably not but im really frustrated right now
No problems from our supplier with the falkens, had 6 sets this week.

The Variant 1 kit will satisfy your needs very well.
Fitting is very straightforward as the only adjustment you are making is to the ride height, need to re-check the geometry after fitting.
-
you need a twin turbo kit now

Phil, does that include the forum discount
?
I'm also considering SS brake lines and dot 5.1 fluid since I'm about to go on a trip to the Alps, think it would really be worth it? Some heavy breaking to be done going down the Alpine passes
Yes discount included.
Stainless lines are £75
Motul RBF600 fluid £30 for 1.5ltrs (enough for a full change)

Hi Guys,
My car is going in for it's MOT this Friday and I think I read in the past something about not letting the garage put the Z on a rolling road / something to do with damaging the LSD?
Can anybody shine any light on this before I go this week please?
Yes thats right just advise them not to use the brake rollers when you drop the car off.

Hi everyone
Been hunting around for this, but every published measurement is 'without' mirrors (how is that possible? Do they mean folded up, or just removed?!)
So, anyone know the width (pref. metric) with mirrors?
I've (potentially) got myself a new secure lockup so the zed doesn't have to live outside, thank God!
Hope you're all well

how much for coilovers
he says he's only willing to sell the coilovers with the edfc... tbh you need the edfc to set the coilovers right aswell.....
-ho
EDFC allows you to adjust the damper rate from inside the car NOT the ride height as most seem to think.

Yes that sounds like the fuel pump has a problem (could be blocked, not knackered).
It should make a constant whine.
usually the fuel filter needing changing that is putting the pump under stress
no fuel filter to change on the Z

Freelander is same 5x114.3 PCD

Thats WTF I know.
funny bloke..
im glad its all dealt with.
Just by the way Martin have u installed bonnet pins?..i heard from few previous buyers that their CF bonnets caught on the wind at high speeds and broke free of the latch.
never had a problem with either the Seibon or the Varis bonnet and both have been tested at prolonged high speed runs on our German trips.
The important part is to make sure you transfer over the rubber strips off the leading edge of the standard bonnet and ensure the new bonnet closes tightly on the front edge.

Don't kid yourself! Just accept the fact you will be spending a fortune on mods, and it makes life easier on your conciense!

Hi everyone, been lurking for a while now but not posting because I wasn't an actual owner.
Well now i am
Picked up my black 06 GT coupe on Saturday morning and loving it already. (Apart from the incomplete tool kit in the boot but thats easily sorted).
Trying to keep this car standard(ish) but i've a feeling that may prove difficult hanging around on here.
First newbie question:
Why do the Rays alloys each have a blue paint dot on them? Is it to prove their authentic or something,
Cheers
Welcome
blue dot is optimum balance point for tyre fitting.
