  1. The car in your sig looks like Mikes!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Yes it does Stew. Wonder why! ;)

But on serious note, if we can try to keep this post spam/abuse free so that anyone interested doesn't actually have to trawl through any crap and I don't miss any questions it would be appreciated...

By all means, start a new post abusing me

  2. Hi all,

Been a while since been on here so hello to all ;)

From my colourful past on here, I thought someone on here would love first opportunity on these before I end up having to stick them on Ebay or something....

I am (very reluctantly) selling 2 x 3 day tickets for the British Grand Prix 2012 6th - 8th July 2012 in the Club Silverstone section of Becketts Grandstand in Row B and included in the package are:

So these are TWO fantastic tickets for the British GP as part of the Club Silverstone package, which is packaged by Silverstone as higher quality viewing than the Platinum grandstands, but not full hospitality....so basically between the two.

The tickets are for all three days in the Club Silverstone part of the Becketts complex grandstand (with premier views) with reserved seating for ALL three days AND you have the option for roaming viewing in the other grandstands around the circuit on top for the Friday & Saturday. The seats are next to each other in the second row from the front (B) and therefore you've got a fantastic view as you're right in the front right hand side of the grandstand as the cars come towards you.

Therefore you get fantastic views as the cars come flat out down from Copse on your right, through Becketts, down Hanger Straight and also you get great views across to the new complex of Village, the Loop, around Aintree Corner and disappear down Wellington Straight. Additionally you have a big screen right in front of you!

As these seats are part of the Club Silverstone package, so you also get private secured access to your own bars, food marquee and stalls right behind the grandstand, so no massive queues for anything including lovely clean toilets!!. The bar complex has it's own large screens too within a garden area with tables and chairs so you can watch all the support races from the bar if you wish.

This also includes close proximity designated parking for all days and a complimentary pair of caps and programmes. These tickets are currently all sold out (as is nearly all the GP), so this is a good chance to grab a couple of fantastic seats....

I was there last year in the same area although these tickets are even better locations than the ones I had last due to me buying them as soon as they went on sale!

The price is the cost prices of £425 PER ticket. THIS IS THE TICKET PRICE AS YOU CAN SEE FROM PHOTOS....

I'm not interested in making money on Ebay etc, just recovering what I've spent as I really wanted to go, but due to a change in personal circumstances I cannot. Please don't waste either of our time by making silly offers B)

I will send out via recorded delivery for next day, on receipt of the money free of charge to the buyer.

Please not I will not separate them as they will come as a pair....

Message me if you are interested. I also have camping booked at Whittlebury Park Golf Club (right behind Becketts so 5-10 mins walk) if you want to take advantage of that for an additional cost on top, anytime from Tues through to Monday as my original plan was to stay around for the after GP Party, so I booked to take account. But you can use the days you would want if we agree you want the camping...

Let me know if you interested before I put them on for general sale via PM on here and then if people are interested enough, then happy to discuss. Happy to advise further if needed...

I will have to put them on Ebay soon due to the shortage of days between the GP, but will happily give anyone here priority as long they are serious. They will be going on Ebay with same price starting point....

    Happy to discuss further....

PS. For those that do not know me due to not being on the site for a while. I used to help moderate this site in the early days, along with Chris (Chesterfield) and Mike (M13KYF) so if I'm sure those two will vouch for my honesty....

Cheers for reading, and hoping someone wants to pickup two fantastic packaged tickets!

  3. My budget would probs be between 1.5k and 2k ish

the hardest thing is, is that they are all bloody nice :headhurt:

or give me a shout as I've got these still for sale. Wasn't really pushing them as was deciding if I was going to get a 370z (and try to fit em on) but prob decided against that...

So these Racing Harts are still for sale, with near enough new tyres on too (Falkens). See if you like and pm me if you want to see.

  4. Yeah I thought similar lines to Mike when I drove it on sunday...

Felt a lot more stronger and stiffer structurally than the 350z

Loads of grip, even in the mini monsoon that hit the test drive.

Didn't feel that much quicker, but that said it was very tight as brand new

Has the same zed feel where you're actually going quicker than you think

Much more civilised driving than the 350z, not as "raw"

When you're driving it you feel very close to the front end, and it actually feels quite narrow to drive.

When looking in review mirror, seemd like the the rear end was miles away!

Thought the new seats and finish of them worked.

Actually was pretty impressed overall to drive it....

  5. Even though I wasn't officially on the drive out, was great to see a lot of the old gang from previous runs again and meet some new faces!

Had a cracking day being advanced recon driver for you all and getting on some of those roads again. Was slightly jealous to see all those Zeds again, especially when me and Digsy were coming into Bala in advance of you all, and I saw my old car (Jotuns) coming around the corner! Was slightly surreal :)

Anyway great day and good to see you all again (in person!)

Steve, sorry to hear about the accident but glad you and your son are ok. Hope everything goes smoothly around the insurance mate

  6. Sorry to hear Markie is unwell - nothing to do with Nixy's driving of course :p - hope he recovers soon

You beat me to it! I was just about to say.... I know Nixy's driving is bad, but sending someone to hospital is just plain outrageous!!

Hope you feel better soon mate

  7. Yeah I've always gone there.....

You must have been unlucky with the wash. If you speak to Dave the service manager then normally they no the score as had me bending their ears and telling "them" stuff about the cars every time I was there!

Best of the dealerships I always found. You can get them down to their lowest price with playing them off with Chorley Nissan's prices too!

They've only just decided not to renew the franchise a few months back as I got a letter about it.....

  8. Would love to meet up for a chat, but I can't do the saturday so will have to be another time chaps....

Sorry, got footie on a saturday afternoon!

I hope you mean watching at your age :p

Cheeky git! Still playing strong and showing these whippersnappers a clean pair of heels ha ha .....

it's mental strength that they all don't have! Hmmmm bloody kids!!

    Have fun....

  9. Thats a nice insight Digsy. I see you managed to avoid the camera too!

I *might* go and see one if they get it in Aberdeen......

He didn't..... he's in the last picture Mike posted trying to get out of the way

One last thing to say, is that some of the things that Digsy picked up on (such as the cubbies behind the seats) may well change as this was a P1... but I had similar concerns about from the seats backwards. There certainly wasn't a massive change in plastics etc... and the boot is definitely shallower than a 350z

  10. Lovely car dave....

I nearly thought about buying an S5 when I was looking at changing... but just couldn't jusitfy the fuel costs with the miles I was doing....

But I do love the looks for such a big car...... really nice mate. But there's a lot of black paint to keep on top of ;)

Hope your detailing skills are up to scratch still! :p

  11. Nice one Mike. Definately agree that larger wheel look like a must.

I think the shape will look nicest in a darker colour...any word on how many colours its being offered in?

Interior looks good...though perhaps a tad busy...I think BMW got it right with the less is more approach in the current range.

Slightly dissapointing that you lose the spare for the Bose sub.

Sure when the 350 was launched there were numerous debates on design...but will all come down to how it drives and makes you feel!

I was quizzing Middlehursts on this, but to be fair they've asked the question a 1000 times and not had a commited response..... but they have an inklin. Best guesses at this time.....are:

Red that's the same as the 350z (and GTR) so flat not metallic.

Silver similar to blade on 350z (like this and I don't think it suited the car, as some have said made it look a bit large in places)

    Pearlescent White

    Black

The new blue (which looks different everytime you see a new photo)

A similar colour (can't remember what it's called) to Gunmetal but has a bit of a goldey tint to it.

And a very similar colour which is like Gunmetal but lighter...

Agree it looks good in darker colours though..... although the pics I have seen of the white look nice. They had a colour card of the white there and that's nice....

  12. Just caught this thread now..... so sorry & socked to hear the news Andrew, there's not a lot to say that hasn't already been said but having met Phil when I brought my car up he was a pleasure to meet and with a refreshing level of honest in today's world!

Anyway, glad that the last update is more positive..... my thoughts are with you and your family right now.
