  1. I use a Canon EOS 350D with a Canon 100-400L

They were all taken in TV mode (shutter priority) All the jet shots are between 1/800th and 1/1200 second exposures at ISO200

This one was much slower to get the blur on the rotors

1/30th second exposure, handheld too B)

  2. To be fair to JuZ, we should bring this back OT and say that this is a nice item for someone.

JuZ, I'm a novice at this stuff, would light pollution be an issue in a built-up area?

You lot crack me up :teeth:

    The darker the better yeah.

    :teeth:

    Any offers yet mate???

None so far, but I'm not too disappointed, its always worth asking, you never know who might want it :)

  3. All taken from the public viewing areas

Scary moment for Kristensen as something on his front suspension gives up :scare:

  5. I've decided to sell my telescope as I really don't get the time to use it as much as I'd like.

The ETX 125 has the longest focal length at 1200mm and the best light gathering, it also comes with the UHC treated glass.

Mine comes with 2 eye pieces (different magnifications), 5 coloured filters, Autostar (will find about 30,000 objects in the sky automatically) Tripod, Dew shield,

Digicam for photograhing heavenly bodies through the scope ;)

All that lot cost over £1300 when it was new

    I would like £650

  6. some of those don't look like the Uk D1 cars ... they are the Jap ones aren't they? if so, were they there on saturday for the Uk D1 round???

    PS great pics!!!

They are the Jap cars, hence the D1GP in the title :p

I think they were all there on the Saturday to qualify for the Sunday :):D

  7. Well I'm saying yes, as a plane uses thrust generated by the engines to move and that isn't affected by how fast the wheels are turning so it would take off as normal although the wheel speed would be much higher!

  8. Lifted from another forum..

A plane is standing on a runway that can move (some sort of conveyer belt). The plane moves in one direction, while the conveyer moves in the opposite direction. This conveyer has a control system that tracks the plane speed and tunes the speed of the conveyer to be exactly the same (but in the opposite direction).

    Can the plane take off?

    Opinions please :)
