JDM and 03 plate anyway. Have warranty throiugh dealer but never seems to cover anything that goes wrong.

Just picked mine up from garage today after looking in to the axle and creaking clutch. Was told the axle would cost £120+vat to do the 180 flip or £600+vat to be replaced. Clutch was told they would need to remove gear assembly to assess problem and I would need to pay for their time to give me a price for repair. I have no problem with gears sliping just a creaking. Is it possible/probably this is the release bearing or springs causing this?

Might be faster than stock Z but sure if you spent the extra £'s on F/I on the Z.... well think the M just might look a bit ordinary by comparison.

Has anyone had to pay for this to be done. My warranty doesnt cover this and as mine is a JDM just wanting to prepare myself for the sting.

£558 with 2years ncb 2years driving 31year old in ML postcode with Admiral.

It's in fife about 30 miles past Edinburgh over the Forth road bridge. A lot closer than 300+ miles.

Andy Walsh does a full day training course for 4 drivers at crail airfield for £80 per person. £40 per person for an evening session based on 4 as well.

This would be more suitable for northern Z owners. Just a quick trip up the A1.

If you have more than 1 car in your household try admiral. Got my renewal for 600 and I've not even been driving 3 years yet. Mrs has her almira insured as well for cheaper than anywhere else.

BTW mine is a JDM as well.

Phoned funkystyling today. They have no pads for non brembo Z's in stock. Would take at least 2 weeks to order in some Project µ.

Brakes4u have the above pads in stock but just wanted to check they would fit ok before purchasing.

Will EBC Redstuff brakepads fit a non brembo JDM.

Been told these will do the trick but wanted to check first.

Just had P2 service done (£180) and was told my front pads are 90% worn. Rears might make it to next service.

Question is what pad options do I have for a JDM non Brembo Z?

Nissan quoting £100-150 for rear and £130-190 for front.

I am removing the dash to install some more wiring tonight so if I get a chance I will take some pics.

The retracion is via a thick springed coil in the middle which pulls the rear of the front flap back, with speed controled by the cogged gear at each side.

I have re-used the flap to mount the touchscreen behind. LinITX 7" touchscreen fits perfectly behind existing opening.

If it's the same as mine the red wire is from the pressure switch that activates the screen when the cover is opened.

Saves the screen being always on.

Mine has now been ripped out and replaced with a touchscreen for the carPC.

Is there any way to run an external audio source in to the standard Bose headunit?
