  1. my top tunes in each category:

    1. Cool Cruising Music. Dire Straits – Sultans of Swing

    2. Road Rage Mode. Pearl Jam – Even Flow

    3. Easy listening. Snow Patrol – Chasing Cars

    4. Tranquil Mood. Massive Attack – Teardrop

    5. Bass. Leftfield – Storm 3000 (this wil blow the subwoofer! ;) )

  2. Thanks for the advice guys.

Think I might order the kit from the US ($1,092 for front lip, sides and rear spats).

Has anyone gone down this route?

Can any bodyshop spray and fit the kit these days, or should it be done by some kind of specialist? Any recommendations for South Coast or London/South East area?

  3. captint - you have asked many of the questions I had about the nismo kit!

on the rear spolier - i agree - never been a fan, so was wondering how the nismo v1 kit would look without it. pics of baptists car have answered that question - looks fantastic!

the Aerosync front bumber sounds like a good option - looks identical to Nismo but in a more forgiving material. is this the whole bumper or just the lip?

only thing stopping me from ordering the nismo kit (from the US) / aerosync front is ground clearance - does anyone know the clearance of the below options (or perhaps how much they lower clearance compared to standard):

    1. Nismo front (whole bumper)

    2. Nismo front (lip - from US)

    3. Aerosync front (whole bumper/lip not sure!)

    Thanks

  4. I am after a kit and really like the look of the Greddy (although agree about the rear being a bit boxy!)

Can't decide between this and the Nismo. Am edging more towards the Nismo though - below store in the US has good prices for the individual parts...

Although haven't got a clue how much delivery, tax, etc. would add on! Anyone have any idea (ballpark)?

Does anyone have any pics of a Nismo-kitted Z without the rear spoiler? I like the subtleness of the Nismo kit, but that rear spoiler is a bit 'much' IMO - not sure how it would look without it though?

  5. Ok mate what kit u going for the nismo one?
If i get it, the front carbon nismo, side skirts, rear spats and NI2 spoiler with carbon blade

Interesting - is it possible to buy the parts in the nismo aero kit separately then? I have always wanted the kit minus the rear spoiler. Cheers matey.

  6. I have also stuffed an old 2.8 4-motion and an old R32. Not even close. And the 4-motion was in the wet.

Came across a new R32 the other week and gave in to temptation. As did he. Was close up to 60 but then my baby just kept pulling away (admittedly slowly pulling away ;) ) due to the extra torque.

Do like the R32 though - would consider it as my next 'practical' car.

  7. I still maintain that the service received varies significantly from dealer to dealer.

Don't think that we can generalise and say 'Nissan' has poor service and no goodwill. Up until now, my personal opinion of Nissan is very high due to the excellent service I have received from my dealer.

  8. Just wanted to pass on my experiences, so that other owners can make use of an excellent dealer - Westover in Bournemouth.

First visit after purchasing my Z (from a different dealer), was about the left speakers not working with the CD player. New Bose unit was ordered and replaced old one a week later.

Whilst there, mentioned that my leather gear stick was rather worn for its age. Dealer agreed and replaced with brand new part (apparently rather pricey).

Then asked about having to press the boot release several times to open and the boot lid then not staying up. New hydraulic arms ordered a few days later and being fitted today (again apparently rather pricey!).

All the above covered by warranty no quibbles.

Also, courtesy cars are always available. Today they gave me the keys to a brand new X-Trail 4x4! Great car - obviously very different drive to what we're used to but am very impressed with the performance from the 2.2 diesel, considering the size of the thing. Also had the birdview sat-nav fitted which IMO is excellent. Might have to take the offroad route back to the dealer tonight!!

Anyway, staff are always very helpful and couteous. So in summary, a big  to Westover Bournemouth!

  9. Does anyone know how to get the voice activation working (just got the BT kit as a xmas pressie!)? Is it something you setup on the car or on the phone?

If its the phone, don't think i'll be able to use the voice controls as i have a motorola razor

Oh well, excuse to upgrade phone :teeth:

The voice activation is set up on the car not the phone

Good news, but how? Can't find anything about it in the BT intructions?

Its in the owners manual :)

Might be going mad, but I can't find anything about voice activation (saving/dialling numbers) anywhere in owners manual or BT instructions.

    PLEASE HELP!!!

  11. Oh, and a banana roadster has now been spoted in the car park...

It's actually a GT4 coupe. But still, we're almost to the point of starting a new club just for people at our office! Getting silly now the amount of Zeds in the carpark

  13. yes it is rather annoying losing an element of exclusivity here in the work carpark, but it just shows people are realising just how bloody good our cars are!

anyway Ross (kennydies), haven't you inlcuded yours in the list (54 GM)?!

not sure that any of the others would be forum members - don't think any have the all important 'stubby'!
