Two reps from the OC have been invited all expenses paid by Nissan over to Japan, with the instruction to take race suits, to drive various new versions of the GTR. They leave tomorrow, so should have some real world opinions of the cars by next week.

I ran my zed with the APS exhaust with the decats, and with the boost setup properly, you wont have any overboost issues at all. Was rock steady.

Maybe he just means dont do it without a retune.

Thats the only thing I can think of. Really is nothing but benefits for a turbo car, decreased spool time, lower thermal load, increased mid range torque etc etc.

Flirt, you've got a TT car, so removing the cats will make a massive difference to your car. You will need to get the car remapped though, as the gain setting on the boost paramters will need reducing, to prevent you overboosting. Makes a huge difference to spool time with no cats in the system on a turbo car. Turbo's really dont like cats.

Removing them on a N/A car will lose you a fair whack of low end torque. And will be seriously loud.

My return to this forum is down to the leaving of Val, yes. Nothing to do with what car I own. I have never left the OC, no matter what car I have owned.

Lowers thermal load by quite alot, and with a remap to adjust the gain on the boost map, wont cause any boost issues.

Carbon doors save a bit of weight.

The bonnets dont.

A particularly nasty little man, with no regard for anyone but himself.

Every thread was ruined by Val and his megalomanic rantings.

Frankly he just turned me, and alot of others off.

Ive known Val long before you came along Kev, the previous board that Val and co deserted to set up this place was in place a good 4 years ago now. Thats the basis for my assessment.
