  1. hehe :p

Apologies for the crap pics then, they're the only ones i've got with the new rims. Will get up on the moors next time the sun is out and take some proper ones.

I just need to drop it a bit now I think. Oh, and give it a good clean!!!

    Hi Joe

How's things? Still got the AM V8?

Unfortunately, Ian's car has been written off so the bonnet's no longer a problem. :headhurt:

    Hi Mate!!

Yeh i'm good thanks, busy as always!!!!

Nah, got rid of the Aston ages ago!! Had a Gallardo for about a year then have just got a 360 Spider to tart about in!! Just fitted the 20's and the Novitec zorst is on order :teeth:

Still got a soft spot in my heart for the Z though (hence I still troll the forums from time to time!!)

I can confirm that this is right.. i noticed that the strut brace had marks (almost like burn marks) where the bonnet was touching it. I had also had a plenum spacer installed which makes the strut brace sit higher though!

What is the car like without a strut brace though? surely it feels a bit floppy or there would be no reason for it?

Yeh, it's fairly slack from Seibon that it doesn't fit with out the mod, but honestly, I noticed absolutely no difference at all without the strut brace and I drove it fairly hard....... B) Sorry to hear about the write off though. :scare:

  3. Hi,

I had a Seibon bonnet a few years ago on my Z and I had to remove the strut brace to get it to sit properly. I'm sure they've changed now, but could be worth a look.

    Hope you get it sorted.

    Joe

  4. Can I ask who you've done the insurance through mate? Just sorting mine out at the moment for when it gets delivered on Friday and best quote i've had is just shy of £2,500. 30 years old, 6 years no claims, parked on the drive. I don't mind paying that, but if I can get it cheaper obviously I'd like to.... especially as the Aston was a grand less than that!

  5. Saw it in the flesh at Goodwood festival of speed the other week and was distinctly unimpressed. The original concept pictures looked gorgeous but wasn't keen on the production.

Also, bear in mind that in typical Maserati fashion you'll be able to pick one up for 5 bob a packet of crisps and a piece of string in 12 months time.

  6. Yeh, there are LOADS of yellow ones for sale.

Just seen which Lambo you bought. I was looking at that one too before it was sold....now I know who to....!!!

You did really well getting them to put the Callisto wheels on for you. They are beautiful. Certainly going to be my first change.

  7. Yeh he's still got the Stang though he's just in the process of getting rid for the GT500 Stang. Jon got rid of the Fez too and is now in a Murcielago of all things - it's bloody huge!!!!

Hey Sarnie, no it's not orange (though I love the Arancio Borealis), I opted for a more toned down colour so it's plain old understated Grigio Altair. Did consider the Giallo at one stage too (the one I test drove was that colour), but turning up to meetings in a bright yellow Lambo.....can see the faces now..... B)

  8. Does this mean i need to get a Gallardo as im an ex-350z owner?

    Yes....!! :teeth:

Hey Val, Digsy et al. Nice to see you're all still around. Been meaning to come back on for ages but just been so busy with one thing and another that I always forget. Wouldn't mind coming along to a meet sometime if you'll have me, would be good to catch up, and to be honest I do miss the Z.

The Aston went last week and the Gallardo (fingers crossed) should be being delivered this Friday!!! Can't wait. Got rid of the Aston cos we had a littl'un 3 months ago and the Missus wanted me to get something a bit more practical. I told her i'd bought the Gallardo and she said 'how's that more practical' so I told her it had four wheel drive..... :teeth::blush:

  9. Not sure if any of the old gang are still around but was in the area so thought i'd drop in and say hello and rev my engine a bit!!! B)

Whilst i'm here (and not sure if it's been mentioned already), but you can now put deposits down for the new GT-R due for launch in the UK at the beginning of next year.

  10. Hello Everybody !!!!

Yes, that is my old motor and it is the couple that bought it selling - though there are a few inconsistencies on their ad but anyone on here that knew my car will spot them.

Has to be said, I do miss her still.............................

And for those that called her chav you can just !"£$ off :teeth::teeth::teeth: hurting her feelings like that.

  11. Just spoke to local stealer in Bradford and he says that there is no info currently available. In his words, Nissan are being very cagey and haven't even told them if it's going to be released over here.

He's going to call me as soon as he has any info or, more importantly are able to take deposits.

  12. Just cos I miss mine so much i've talked my mate into getting one !!!

He's after a UK Spec (preferably GT but not essential) post 04.

If anyone has one or knows someone that does send me a PM please.

Would rather the sale went to someone on the forums than some shonky (yes that is a real word) stealer.

    Cheers

    Joe
