  1. I saw the pictures in the original post and the first thing that got the alarm bells going for me was the 29K on a 7 year old car.

However good luck with your purchase and I hope all is well with the car.

Perhaps an independent engineers report on the car may be a good idea even at this late stage.

The AA provide a comprehensive service for such checks and a full HPI check would also certainly be advised.

    Mine`s 6 years old with 25k. B)

But would you accept £8700 for it delivered? ;)

I must admit it is a bit low. :D

  3. Today is the first time in ages that I`ve been on here, so hi guys. :)

I have a blowing exhaust and am wondering what to do, maybe I should go with decat pipes. Just a couple of questions (did a search but didn`t get anywhere)

If I fit decat pipes are they legal? ie, would it fail the MOT?

Would it cause any warning lights to appear on the dash?

I`m consideringa few exhausts (even the cheapo ebay one) The Scorpion, The Mongoose and the Mongoose with decat pipes.

I would appreciate the views of those with experience of the Scorpion and Mongoose. Views on any others that I`m missing that aren`t gooing to break the bank are also appreciated.

By the way I have had my Zed for almost 6 years. :)

    Cheers.

  4. And why should you have 20mm all round? The rear tyres are wider so alignment shouldn't be affected?

Of course it`s affected! If you put extra width on the rear, your rears are not following the fronts as the manufacturer intended. Basic maths.

  5. No issues at all with having 20mm front and rear, the only difference is the system, these are system 6, using longer studs...

    Whats with the longer studs?

You need longer studs to go through the spacer and the wheel. a much better system than stud extensions.

  6. :) Hi m8,

I take it these are for the FRONT at 20mm, so 25mm WOULD BE REQUIRED for the rear?

    Jerry :)

You should have the same front and rear, or you`re not aligning the wheels correctly.

There`s no drilling required these fit straight on.

  7. Take Paypal payment as a deposit , but dont release the bike until you have removed the funds from the Paypal as the buyer can put a query in and Paypal will hold the funds until the query is settled..Paypal withdrawals usually take 5 working days to clear !

Just a quick addition to what Lomoto said.

It doesn`t matter if you remove the funds or not, Paypal can still deduct funds and leave you with a negative balance if there is a query from the buyer. It can be pretty dangerous dealing with Paypal these days. This has happened to me a couple of times, just because the buyer changes his mind and decides he wants his money back, although Paypal will usually ask for the goods to be returned.
