  1. Evening all, Was out minding my own business today when a lovely chap in a particular German car nearly took out my front end when he cut me off. Let's just say I love my Brembos even more now. On the back of that delight, I've decided to get a front and rear dashcam. Does anyone have one in their Z? There are so many to choose from with varying reviews, I'd like to know what others have got and what they think of them. Thanks all, Girl Racer
  2. Thanks guys. I've decided to get a DMF as well and get it all done in one go. While on Tarmac Sportz I've seen a tasty rear spoiler that takes my fancy. I've been thinking about modding for years but never gotten around to it. This might be the start of something very expensive........ 😰
  3. Hey guys, I'm back for more advice..... Spoke to Tarmac Sportz, they are saying I need to replace my flywheel as well even though I've only done 48k miles. Do I really need to do that? Flywheels should last more than 100k miles, shouldn't they?
  4. Thanks, I've had a quick trot around t'internet and there seem to be plenty of comments both for-and-against a lightweight flywheel, quite a few comments about driving style needing to change, and a lot of comments that it's noisy at idle/low revs ("my car sounds like a diesel now") !! Looks like the kit without the flywheel is a good idea, 9 day delivery lead time though! I'll be suffering from withdrawal symptoms.......! So glad I found this forum today, you guys are super helpful :-)
  5. I'm in West London so Derby is not an option, but thanks for the suggestion. So, should I just order this kit (thanks Ben) and then shop around for someone to fit it? https://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/nissan-370z-350z-hr-07-stage-1-competition-clutch-kit-with-tarmac-sportz-lightweight-flywheel-heavy-duty-csc.html
  6. Thanks for the link Ben Jack - It's a 57 reg, but I'm sure the AA chap said the slave cylinder was inside the gearbox hence it would need to be dropped......
  7. Thanks for your reply. Re the cause, I'm guessing it's just age-related, 16-year-old parts now starting to give up the ghost? I've done less than 49k miles, but I do drive like I'm making the next Fast & Furious movie.........
  8. Hi, I'm a female Z owner hoping for some good advice here. I have a 2007 facelift 350Z, factory standard so no mods (yet!). I lost my clutch on Friday night, the pedal went straight to the floor and fluid leaked onto the ground. Had the AA take a look and the chap said it was the slave cylinder. He also said the gearbox would need to be dropped to do the repairs. I know a bit about cars but not enough to hold my own against an unscrupulous mechanic, so as a chick I don't want to go to a garage and be scammed in the typical fashion that a lot of women are. Could someone please give me an idea of what this repair might entail? Could it just be a hose or seal replacement, or could I be looking at an entire clutch kit etc.....? And any idea of £££ would be appreciated. This is the first ever failure on the car (16 years of blissful driving!) so I don't have a mechanic, hence I need urgent advice to avoid being taken for a ride (pun intended). Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Cheers. Girl Racer
