  1. Hello,

I have recently installed the 370z ambient lights and they're all working great apart from the drivers side - the LED strip just won't illuminate all the way and I have tried another strip with the exact same result.

I have connected it to the purple mirror switch wire as the guides say.

Is the strip not receiving enough power? If so are there any other wires I can try on the drivers side please? Thank you!

Just to add another question on top if the circuit has been previously split for another accessory could that also cause the issue? I have a couple of other things (dashcam) running from the fuse box and if they're on the same circuit is there the potential it isn't receiving the required power or is that not going to be the case?

  2. Brilliant stuff thank you, I'll look to get it done within the next couple of months just to be safe. In regards to stone chips I suppose the same thing is possible as well? They're quite hard to avoid given motorway driving but ideally I don't want them all rusting over time 😬

  3. Ahh that's a pain! But good to know thank you, do you know the rough cost of something like that please? And is it likely to get worse? Just wondering if it's something that needs immediate treatment or if it can wait a bit as it is barely noticeable

  4. Hi all,

Does anyone know what caused this mark on the door please? It doesn't seem to move when I press on it and it feels solid, I can't work out at all what it could be but someone else may recognise it.

    Thank you ☺️

  5. Hi all,

Where is the most convenient/recommended place to hardwire a standard black and red cable within the car please? preferably not behind the Satnav/OEM unit as that's a pain to add/remove.

I'm hoping behind one of the 12v power adaptors or somewhere similar has relatively easy access

    Thank you :)

  6. Hi all, I have a 370z that comes with a rear parking camera but it doesn't make any noise when approaching obstacles, does it come with a sensor as standard on the 2015 GT model or would I need to have one installed if I want one? Thank you!

  7. Currently looking to purchase the MPS4S as mentioned before but unfortunately it doesn't seem like they come in the 245/40Y variant, does the standard moving up a single width to 255 still apply or whats the spacing like on the 370z? Thank you :)

  8. This was all absolutely fantastic advice, thank you :) I really do appreciate it, I feel like I am settling on the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S after reading all of the advice :) Now the next question I have is what are the recommended tyre sizes people have settled on after years of knowledge and experience? There is so much info out there it's hard to know what is current, ideal or even correct... I have a 370z GT so nothing too wild or different such as a Nismo etc, but it's currently fitted with 245/40 on the front and R19275/35 R19 on the rear... thank you for the help as always! :)

  9. I can stomach it being on there it is just as others have mentioned in the past the second hand embarrassment as people look over and think you've scraped your car and you almost want to shout out "It's not the bodywork I promise!" 😂

  10. Hi all,

I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times and I am reading old threads but as with everything opinions change with knowledge etc but essentially the tyres on my Z are nearing replacement time and I've never replaced the tyres on the car before so what are considered the gold standard of tyres to opt for please? Daily driver with the typical English weather and a standard coupe with no lowering of the car etc.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated please, thank you!

  11. To piggyback on this I have the same issue, absolutely love the car but some road humps no matter how slow you go will catch on this, is the recommendation just to remove it? replace it with something else, or raise the car? Any advice would be great please as they are obnoxiously big for English roads 😂

  12. Hi all,

I'm a new 370z owner here so certain things are different to previous cars I have owned, such as aftermarket pads etc that are worth paying more for and general maintenance.

I've just had the car serviced and everything is fine but the pads are starting to wear and I can now audibly hear it so I'm looking to get some new ones, I have the red brake calipers so I believe they would be the Akebono calipers if on a 2015 model? If so what pads are recommended? and on top of that, is there any easy way to identify when the discs need changing as well, or should I do it all at the same time? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you! :)

  13. That is a brilliant bit of advice, thank you! It's a part of why I feel slightly more comfortable buying an older vehicle from a dealer preferably, at least getting my money back for any potential issues spotted post buying is a little easier - in theory at least!

  14. Thank you everyone for the advice, it is greatly appreciated! I feel ready to pull the trigger, other than the obvious with engine performance on a test drive, is it just the rust around the arches that you recommend when viewing the car? Or are there other telltale signs I should know about? :) Thank you!

  15. Hi all,

I'm looking to buy my first 350Z fairly soon and I've noticed quite a few imports have been popping up - is there any major downside to purchasing one of these in regards to repairs/upgrades? Are the parts that different or is it all relatively interchangeable? Or is it just worth staying clear? Thank you :)
