I had a similar issue when I took mine off to clean it. Had rev hang when changing gears and idle issues that wouldn't go away with the pedal dance. Ended up disconnecting battery and leaving light switch on to drain power, left it overnight and came back to it late next day, reconnected battery and did pedal dance sequence and it was fine. Haven't had issues since. Worth a try maybe? I also cleaned the TB connectors with contact cleaner whilst it was all unplugged.
