  1. This was by far my favourite modification so far Japspeed K4 twin-exit exhaust, combined with a rear bumper tuck so that the pipes are showing from behind. Glad to take out some of these rusty pipes from underneath. Three self-tapping bolts for the bumper tuck What's more, the exhaust seems very responsive to foot control. Keeping the throttle light, it's barely louder than stock and will definitely be girlfriend-friendly. But ramp up the revs and it gets very exciting.
  2. Every car needs a mascot Meet Sensei Paw. Will get back to more serious stuff soon
  3. I'll admit I bodged it, but I wanted superSUPERSUPER-bright cool-white LEDs over the numberplate I will formalise a proper housing for them once the 3D printer is up and running. Function over form and all that. The picture doesn't do it justice
  4. Dropped a positive and negative wire from the battery into the cabin Now I'll be able to set up some cool lights or extra sockets in the future
  5. Dropped back home to my parents' - where my dad has been using my 'fun' car for the last few months First time my two cars have met 😛 Not a bad line-up
  6. 3D number plates deployed. I do perfer metal plates, but MOT is coming soon so thought I better get something sensible
  7. Dentist had been telling me to use floss for quite a while Finally discovered how I am supposed to use it Removed the rear lettering and badge. Replaced with a black 'Z' badge
  8. Removed the front numberplate and badge Filled, sanded to 5000-grit and re-sprayed During the process, I noticed quite a lot of existing damage on the lower edge of the bumper. So I'll probably look to change the entire thing to a Nismo V3 with professional paint-job in the near future But here we are for now...
  9. Thanks This is partly why I wanted to make a full dataseta. Half of the specs I had to find on forum threads and not always sure how reliable things are I've updated the top
  10. On a side-note, I made myself a 350z wallpaper for my PC
  11. Added some mean-lookin' ABS headlight eyelids Stuck on temporarily for now, as I'm not sure whether they'd get through an MOT If they pass an MOT, I'll later aim to fuse them with the edge of my bonnet
  12. The whole front bumper and boonet were covered in stone chips Grabbed a kuro black dabber pen (paint code: KH3) and filled all the visible defects. Before and after:
  13. Hey all. Thought I'd start a build thread for my 350z Purchased my 350z last year. Photos attached are from the day of purchase Slightly worn in places - but completely stock car GT edition with track Rays wheel option The aim is to DIY as much as possible, which forces me to tinker and improve my mechanical knowledge My long-term goal (looking 3-4 years ahead) is to turbo the car myself and learn to mess with the ECU I've previously heavily modified a mini R53, so this is a nice upward progression I'm also a bit of a data nut, so I'll be dropping facts and figures into the area below as I find them. I'd love to make a comprehensive reference for enthusiasts ____________________________ Engine type: VQ35DE Engine format: V6 Engine capacity: 3498 cc Cylinder angle: Raised 60 degrees from horizontal Cylinder bore: 95.5 mm Piston stroke: 81.4 mm Compression ratio: 10.3/1 Valves per cylinder: 4 Valve train: 24-valve DOHC (double overhead camshaft) Max.
