I'm going to find a way to make it to this. I missed the north Wales drive out last year so I have to make this one!

I'm up for the Ace cafe again, I went with the small group in 2022 and was my first time visiting this iconic location and my first club meet!

What I've noticed since becoming an owner and joining the (many) groups, and I hope may help, is the community seems to be more focused/reliant on Facebook 🙄 for event info. Where I see posts on the official 350Z&370Z club group asking about shows/meets etc I have been trying to direct people to the forum as it is a better structured source for organising and keeping track. I'm happy to share links to the FB group back to here for events like this if that helps? Might be worth running a poll to find out how much interest there would be for ace cafe meet before committing to something with the venue though.

Anyone have a wire map/diagram for the 370z Bose system?

Also, my plan is to take the audio out feed from the head unit to supply the aftermarket to bypass the Bose amp but would I need to use the audio out wires to then supply from the aftermarket amp to the new speakers?

I know it’s 3 years since last post on this topic, but are any more in the pipeline? Would be after a Nismo one if possible. Someone else is asking on the FB selling page too.

Any idea of the actual size? I'm assuming not 6.5" and more 4/5"?

Hi all,

I've had a scroll through to find a post that details the OEM audio setup for the V2 Nismo but have been unsuccessful in finding the info I'm looking for. I'm also @*!# at the internet in general so can't find anything that I'm looking for.

Before I go ahead and rip Nismo's innards out, can anyone confirm the standard setup on these? There are definitely rear speakers somewhere as the fader setting sends sound to the rear and it's noticeable. I kind of want to know what there is there to organise upgrades to just install while she's in pieces so I don't have to upset her twice.

If nobody has the info I'm looking for then I will document and post here my finding and progress ☺️

bought a set of led strips to put in at the rear of the car, just wondering if anyone knew the best spot to tap the wires to come on when starting the car? Thinking maybe the Bose amp behind the seats??

1. This was the only full on solution that i found after scouring the internet. All the others were just dongle workarounds. Whereas this just works straight away and has full integration. And the fact its wireless CarPlay as well sold it for me.

 

2. Honestly i cant remember for definite now. But im pretty sure (like 90% sure) i didnt get charged import tax.

 

3. Because of the way it basically sits in between the wiring loom and the stereo unit, everything in the stereo unit is still used. Meaning that you would use the stock stereo unit connectivity outlets for aftermarket amps etc. Nothing like that would be plugged directly into the aftermarket unit.

One last question, does it bypass/remove the existing USB in the arm rest? I only need to use it for charging and plan to put a false bottom with a wireless charger.

Anyone know where I can get the black badges with Nissan in red? I've only seen them on Bob's 370Z and he thinks he got them from work but they're not on Tarmac's site and I can't find them online anywhere.

I've been looking at this upgrade for a while, seems I should've taken the plunge sooner as the price has now gone up! £566 not including import tax of £102.20!!

A couple of questions:

1) Is this the only option like this on the market without going for the incredibly expensive route of brainiac/aftermarket custom install? (You know, because I stupidly have a V2 Nismo that has the integrated AC controls so that you can't just switch out the headunit! 🤦‍♂️) I've googled quite a bit but don't seem to find anything remotely like this from anywhere else!

2) Were you charged import tax?

3) Is there any connectivity outlets for dropping in aftermarket amplifiers to upgrade the speaker components?

As far as I know, no diff service. Service history was all from Nissan dealer but only oil and filter changes.

Hi all,

I spent a short amount of time with Bob at Tarmac Sportz a while back and he advised of some bits I need to look into getting done to preserve my 370. One of these was the diff oil change/service. Can anyone recommend a garage local to cambridgeshire to get this done as I have seen some posts through a FB group that have said some garages have had difficulty completing the job.

I am also planning on getting the clutch fluid changed and the auxiliary(?) belt on the front of the engine done at the same time, but is there anything else any of you would recommend checking over or getting serviced at the same time? Car is on 50k miles.

I tried doing an album last night and managed to get 4 photos uploaded. Even after converting the files they are mainly around 2mb so too big to upload as the limit is 1024kb!?

Got the short tails fitted yesterday and loving the new exhaust notes! 
 

Having spoken to Bob at Tarmac Sportz and gaining some valuable maintenance awareness looks like the next job is part maintenance but also mod which will be a single mass clutch. Gear box and diff oil at the same time too.

Had our first mod fitted today, short tails from Tarmac Sportz. Totally recommend these as a first cheap mod from OEM exhausts. The guys at Tarmac were really friendly and great to talk to for advice on what parts to look out for maintenance milestones coming up. Next mod will be single mass clutch.

The exhausts though... what a difference! Sound immense, great sound through tunnels/under bridges!

My wife and I recently picked up a 2017 nismo in black (profile photo). It's our first 2 seater and have plans to modify, slowly, over time. We're off to Tarmac Sportz next week to get the back box delete and short tails fitted and looking at hydro dipping the wing mirror covers and B pillars soon too. Really loving the car and surprised how good the MPG is despite booting it quite a bit.

Also getting involved in car groups/meets, specifically Z3X related, so maybe get to meet some of you more experienced owners one day in the flesh!

We got a 2017 nismo recently which has the nav bose system in. I understand from talking to Bob at Tarmac Sportz that it is near impossible to do and drop out/in replacement with that system so wondered what, if anything, someone else may have done about it? I can't seem to find the coupe interior parts online either to do a retro fit and enable an aftermarket head unit installation, any ideas where I could get my hands on some parts like that??
