This is exactly what mine is doing as well. Mine has been sat for a long time so had a new battery fitted. Do you have an engine light on as well??

Well..... Plugged in my OBD reader and it won't connect to the ECU. I'll just give up now and wait until Horsham get there hands on it lol

Ok thanks for the replies, I'll plug in the code reader tomorrow if I get chance and post it

Hi, firstly apologies if this is in the wrong section!!!
I need some help, long story short but I've recently acquired a 350z that has been sat for a long time (approx 12 months). It's off to Horsham Dev in a week for a complete service and overhaul but I had to move it from its previous storage location. Only about 500 metres or so but I decided to fire it up. I checked the oil first which seemed quite lightly coloured still and was plenty in there, also put some fuel in and a new battery. To my surprise it started up no problems at all, little bit of smoke and then it was fine. Ticked over nicely, sounded good and for the very short move it seemed spot on. So I was very happy.
The next day I thought I'd fire it up again as to be honest thought it would do it some good, but unfortunately this time around the engine light came on and it's idle is all over the place, goes high, then low, nearly stalls. Just all over the place. I turned it off, left it for a bit and then tried again but still the same. I've left in since then but I was just wondering if anyone knows what might be causing this. Should I be worried?? I'm already spending a lot at Horsham so could do without an even bigger bill lol
Any insight in this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys, I'm not too sure if he was a member on here, I know he was deffo on a 350z forum but from what I've seen there is a few.
Here's a couple of pics of the car.
Photo with black wheels is as it sits now, not been touched or moved for many months and the red wheels is what it was looking like before the clutch went. The wheels are the same in both pics (Volk racing I believe) but have been refurbished in black a while ago.
As it's sat for so long I'm having a full major service and all belts replaced. Can anyone recommend anything that will need looking at?

Hi there,
I am new to 350z ownership so thought id join here and say hello.
My car is currently in a fairly average state and has been off the road for over 12 months now since the clutch went. The car belonged to a friend of mine who very sadly took his own life back in August. As the solicitors are sorting through his legal affairs the car was to be sold as scrap for pennies and I just couldn't see that happen so I have agreed to buy it. Unfortunately the process takes around 6 months so by the end of Feb hopefully the I should have all the paperwork and my project can finally begin!!!!!
FYI the car is a 2005 DE, with GT pack and in black.
Once it back on the road i'd love to go to some meets and shows.
