Snowrifle

Thankyou in advance for anyone able to help me and sorry for any spelling mistakes, even spell check cant help me all the time, I recently snapped the key in my import lock on the outside of the car (battery was not connected so keyless entry wouldnt work....ofc) i purchased and replaced a new ignition barrel and lock for the outside of my car (well the whole handle tbh as it was already pretty mashed) and managed to fit the handle in tho the door wont lock via that anymore (sure it just needs to be taken apart and done again...i hope) however the ignition barrel was different going from a 5 fork plug to a 6 plug. I have retro fitted the new ignition barrel in (of a uk model) and the car will turn over when the clutch is depressed as normal but will not start though all electrics in the car do work when the key is turned, so my question is: Is ignition 2 needed for the car to start or is it for key less start like many other cars ive worked on or do i need to program the key and barrel to the car for it to work. If ignition 2 is needed how would i make this work as the import only has a single ignition plug. Thankyou again, Damo
