I purchased my 350z in November and unfortunately issues have cropped up. It leaks oil at a tremendous rate. Some is ending up at the bottom of the engine bay but it also smokes terribly from the exhaust and the smoke has a strong smell to it which is probably also oil. I can't really drive it quickly anymore without it misfiring. My mechanic doesn't usually deal with 350z's and he said he can't honestly give me a solid price to fix it. If it was a common car he sees all the time he'd have no issues giving me a quote for what needs doing. He told me it probably needs new piston rings and head gasket. I also think it needs a new rocker cover because it had oil in the spark plugs and that seems to be the common fix for a 350z with that problem. I am rather intimidated by giving him a thumbs up to do the work without any kind of reference what price it will be. If anyone has an idea of how much it should roughly cost I'd be greatful. Thanks
