  1. Hmm, it didn't actually work... the tape player just rejects it. So i assume there is something wrong with my tape player and obviously i no longer have any tapes to test with haha!
  2. Cheers bud, for the sake of £2 I have just bought one as it will do for now. Cheers
  3. That's a good idea, i will hold on for then and just get some sort of double din that does everything. I guess I should go and make some more CD's for now then
  4. Thanks for the replies guys, the BOSE hack did interest me while i was searching, but then i had in my mind i didn't really want to start changing the standard HU and if i was going to i might as well just buy one of the new HU where i could steam my google maps from my phone also. I don't have sat nav in mind so this would be helpful. Now you've said the bluetooth isn't very compatible with modern phones i think this is going to be the way forward. Would you guys recommend going for an actual android based HU or stick with a known brand like Alpine or Pioneer? Cheers
  5. It would appear these are often sold from the 350, or so i have read anyway. Which is my guess as to why my module is missing from the cradle in the center console. I have a 2007 GT, so I believe this should be standard. Is my best option to try and find a stock item (which I can't seem to) or go for something aftermarket to get hands free on the Z? Also, i'd quite like to have a bluetooth music streaming option, which I have read is not supported on the Bose? I know there are options for a tap converter, but i remember the quality of those being pretty poor.... What do you guys do in today's world or tech as I have read a lot of post which are actually very old?
  6. So I am now the proud owner of an excellent 350Z! Other than needing a good clean and detail its pretty much spot on! Unfortunately this is the only photo i had which i took on Saturday after getting it back.
  7. Hi guys, http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201708258677026?make=NISSAN&advertising-location=at_cars&radius=1500&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=New&model=350 Z&sort=price-desc&postcode=al72bw&page=2 Its not the colour i originally intented but at the price seems a very good deal, apparently the brake lines have some slight rust but no other issues. Your thoughts?
  8. In that case i will look at both of those then.
  9. Cheers bud, just seen another which has everything I want.... Obviously it is the most expensive though haha. But worth it suppose.. what do you guys think? https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/nissan/350z/2008-08-nissan-350-z-3-5-v6-gt-2d-309-bhp/6961779
  10. Yea I've seen much better photos, seen a lovely later model in the dark blue with low mileage. Literally perfect, but it has white seats..... which I just don't think i like/want.... I know it seems silly to not buy a car based on the seat colour.
  11. https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/nissan/350z/nissan-350-z-v6-gt-vq35hr-313-bhp-72-839-miles-2008/7758734 It looks black in the photos but you can just see it is night blue, shame about that bumper or i'd be interested.
  12. Well that would explain the lack of Azure blue HR's, in fact I've not found any thinking about it.
  13. Haha, thanks mate but I have my heart set on a blue one.
  14. Wow, amazing responses guys. Whilst i was googling i saw someone write this was one of the most helpful and freindly forums around, it seems they were right! I will make sure i check all of the above upon purchase and as said its easy to check for the right Engine. I am thinking i will cancel my appointment with J17 cars now. I do want the GT pack as i want the leather seats and the extras that also come with, my other criteria is blue. I will do some more searching.
  15. I did actually buy a car from Scotland once, one of the best cars i ever bought and the drive home was great until i left Scotland I now have a lot less time to spare, but if i saw what looks like the right car I would travel far.
  16. Cheers Dan and ZMAN, i read a lot of the reviews for J17 and found most of the negatives were for the Nottingham branch, i am now obviously concerned though. Could anyone recommend better alternatives, i am based in Hertfordshire so would need to be within a few hours drive ideally.
  17. That clears that one up easily then, strange how every source online i have looked at stated the HR Engine starts in 2007 onward. That's what i get i suppose for looking at American sources What are the opinions on others on the import above as I've also read about the "rev up" engine which was a revised DE fitted from 2005? I wouldn't consider the about 2007 now as it was the Engine i wanted it for :/
  18. Hello, I am looking to purchase a 350Z this weekend after much deliberation over a new car (new to me). I am quite confused though by the information i have found online and the information supplied by various dealers and private sellers, i am hoping you guys could clarify. My main piece of confusion is model differences; Ideally i would buy and have seen a 2007 > model, with the HR Engine as apparently it is better in many ways (so i read) But several cars for sale do not have the bonnet bulge to show the revised engine inside, sadly there are no Engine bay pictures. Is it right the engine looks different from the DE? Something to do with a double intake? Am i wrong and it is not 2007 as i have read? https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/nissan/350z/nissan-350-z-v6-sports-3-5-manual-petrol/7642553 - 2007 but seems to not have the new Engine? https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/nissan/350z/nissan-350z-gt-3-5-2dr-manual-petrol-coupe/7379123 - What would this import have? Thanks Neil
