Hello guys. Below is a problem I came across and solution to it. Hopefully it will help someone.

Problem

I was installing I.C.E and disconnected battery and when plugged it back I realized my key fob stopped working. I could only enter a car by using a key in door lock then my alarm went on and to disarm it I had to start my car. I tried reprogramming a key fob using this method  but did not work for me as I couldn't get to that stage when you hear 1 click (warning lights flash – point 6 see below)

1.     Turn the ignition switch from Position 0 to ON 6 times within 10 seconds.

2.     Then turn ignition switch to OFF position. Leave key in ignition switch. After 2 seconds, the system will enter programming mode and will flash the warning lights twice.

3.     Press and HOLD the unlock button on the blip.

4.     While pressing the unlock button, press the lock button 3 times.

5.     Release the unlock button.

6.     The warning lights will flash once to indicate successful programming.

7.     Repeat procedure 4 to 7 for up to 4 keys fobs

8.     When completed turn ignition ON, and the warning lights will flash 2 times.

9.     Remove key, and check all key for operation.

Solution

Then after lot of online research I Found out that my car went into lock mode so before you reprogram your key you have to follow procedure below:

To reset the NAT system, you need to see if you can get it out of lock mode. Here are the steps to Escape from lock mode

• 1.       Put key into ignition off position

   

• 2.       Turn key to on with registered key (do not start engine) wait 5 second

   

• 3.       Return to off position

   

• 4.       Repeat step 2-3 twice ( total of three cycles)

   

• 5.       Start the engine

   

• 6.       Go back to off position

   

Now you are ready to re-program your keys.

its completly standard, all I have done is sort the carbon build up on the exhaust tips and wash it. No massive plans yet. Maybe a stubby Ariel.

well... if only price was a bit less, now spending 1.4k straight after buying a new car + wheels + service might be to much for my wife to accept .

I know exactly how you feel because I recently bought my car and it had been long process , there are many doubts and contrary feelings but at the end trust your guts and most importantly DO NOT rush. Pick your priorities and be prepared to sacrifice few of them as very unlikely you will find a car which tick all boxes. For me personally most important parts were : number of owners and mileage.  Anyway good luck

I had a Chinese head unit in my previous car and worked well but also heard a lot of bad stories about them so I think it all depends on your luck . Now I am looking to buy new HU as well to my ZED and also was checking Xtrons so let me know if you finish installation first.

From what I learned so far there will be a problem to find correct fascia to this unit and yes you will need adapters as usually.

Hi and . I checked many  ...many cars before i bought my ZED and I am pretty sure that car you are after is GT model. Price is a bit higher that I would have paid but car looks very clean and tidy. I believe you will be able to get a price down to 5-5.2k. Good luck

nice one, like your exhaust , thinking about something similar to fit into my car.

...and here after few hours, more than few beers and bruised hand(I knocked myself with a hammer when was taking off old brake discs)  later I am back ;  new wheels JR11 19x9.5 rear , 19x8.5 front sits on Falken 245/35 front and 275/35 rear 

... next month will be exhaust... need to earn more money

Done with the first upgrade to my ZED. Easy installation ,did not take long at all and sounds amazing  ,that is like my face look alike while driving  .

So now it is time to install new brake's discs and wheels...

Thanks Guys. Car's pictures to come this weekend. I will be changing wheels and fitting JWT pop charger tomorrow, my first mods . I think will be spending lots of money soon on upgrades , so far love every minute in a car, listening v6 rumble
