Hi all,
I was just wondering what grade of engine oil people are using in DEs? Mines due a change after a drift day at Santa Pod on Wednesday.
Cheers!

Thanks for the advice! Did you replace the factory oil cooler or do you run that in addition to yours?

Hi all,
Does anyone know which sandwich plate to run for a DE 350z?
I've got a mocal oil cooler, and I'm looking at buying a Mocal sandwich plate but there seems to be a few to chose from.
Can anyone advise me which one suits the DE engine?
Thanks

Cheers Paul, do you drift or track yours?

Unless you are tracking or boosted an oil cooler might be a bit overkill
Yeah drifting

Hi all,
Im sure there’s already a thread for this, but as there’s new products coming out all the time I thought I’d ask which oil coolers people would recommend?
Ive seen a kit that uses a mocal 13 row that’s pretty reasonable on price. What’s everyone running?

Thanks for the reply!
Ive completely removed it but haven’t re-plumbed the brakes as yet, I take it this will work sufficiently

ABS delete
in Brakes
Hi all,
I’ve read a post on this, but it was archived so I could comment on it.
Anyway, I’m removing my ABS (because drift car) and was wondering if there’s any way to easily disable it? I believe one post stated there’s a fuse within the pink block on the fuse board?
Mine’s a very early JDM model, I just didn’t want it to go into limp mode.
thanks in advance!

Thank you!

Awesome, thanks for that!

Thanks for the reply!
Isnt that the size for the smaller pipes though, and not the fittings that go directly into the master cylinder?

Hi all,
does anyone know the thread size for the brake master cylinder? I’m looking to delete the ABS and wanted to tidy up the brake lines.

Thumbs up for the Tein monoshocks on mine.
I have teins on my other car and love them, do they change 350s to a true coilover though?

Thanks for the help guys!
Its for a drift car, I didn’t want to spend any more than £1000 really

Hi all,
Just wondering which coilovers you're all using?
I'm looking at getting a true coilover setup for my 350, maybe HSD/Tein/BC, so what would you all recommend?
-
Thanks OnlyAfro, the only thing I’ve disconnected is the yaw sensor in the centre console. I’ll have a look with the multi meter in the morning

Hi all,
I've just noticed that the rear lights on my 350 aren't working.
It may be worth mentioning at this point that it is a drift project that hasn't seen the road for a long time, so I'm not sure at which point they stopped working.
I have also removed the radio, which seemed like it may be connected after a quick search through forums.
The number plate light also doesn't work, but the fuse for the rear lights seemed fine, and it made no difference when I replaced it.
I'll have to wait until tomorrow to try new bulbs as I haven't got any spare.
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi all,
I’ve lowered my 350z on coilovers, but I’m now struggling to get the rear toe dialled in.
I’ve seen some rear toe bolts for sale but it looks as though it will need more adjustment than they will provide. It also has driftworks rear camber and tension arms fitted.
Had anyone removed material from the sub frame back to where that factory toe adjusters sit?
Any help appreciated!

Thanks for the help!
I may have done. It was removed initially, so the blowers defaulted to full with no lights on the button.
I then reconnected the buttons and it's now playing up

Hi all,
I've recently removed the headunit and most of the interior in my Z (drift project).
I've since noticed that when the car is started, the blowers seem to stay on even when switched off, and the heater comes on even though the temp is set on low.
Has anyone head of an issue similar to this before?
Cheers

Hi all,
I was looking to buy a set of Tein inner tie rods and tie rod ends, but can't seem to find anywhere that has them in stock (I believe they've been discontinued).
Can anyone suggest an alternative? I don't really want to go down the wisefab/full angle kit at this stage.

Hi all,
ive got a harness for the 350, just wondering if any of you have had an experience with the seat belt warning? I haven’t driven it yet as the car is SORN, but I don’t want to end up with the seatbelt warning constantly sounding! Is this a problem with 350s and how can I rectify it with wiring etc?
Any help would be apreciated!

Yeah I've used them for 3 years now, had to replace 1 of them after about a year but was kind of my fault. I've got an extra washer on them aswell as the spacer you get with it. They allow decent lock without spending crazy money on a lock kit. I'dresommend them anyway
Thanks for the advice!

Hi all, has anyone had experience with Tein inner tie rods and track rod ends? Are they worth getting to get a little extra lock?
Starter Motor
in 350Z Technical
Posted
Hi all,
The starter motor on my 2003 350z import is on its way out.
I've noticed there's 2 different part numbers for the starter motors on eBay, are both usable on a DE?
Thanks,
Joe
