  1. I can understand getting the code on one side being a sensor replacement, but getting both banks together makes me suspect the problem lies somewhere else.

I assume replacing the sensors is a ramp job? I'll have to get it checker out and i'll give you a shout if I need sensors alex :)

  2. Getting these repeatedly anyone any idea? I am guessing it's unlikely to be the sensors themselves as its on both banks? Car seems to be running fine, no rough idle or noticeably reduced fuel economy.

Cleaned the maf sensor tried some catalytic converter cleaner fuel additive snake oil.

I read coolant temperature sensors can throw these codes but doesn't seem like a common fault on Zs?

I've pedal danced the codes off about half a dozen times and they return within 20 miles

  3. Had a bit of a ding, all cosmetic but need a bumper, wing, headlight cover and screenwash bottle. What's the most most cost effective way/quickest way of procuring all of the above? I've never really had to deal with body shops, should I just take it somewhere and let them find the stuff or am I better off trying to find parts myself?

If anybody knows anybody in Co Durham that's good that'd be a help.

  4. Cheers lads, best get it looked at. It's been bulletproof for 3 years and the week after I get made redundant this happens

Should I avoid driving in the meantime or will it be okay providing I keep an eye for the temp rising?

It will be a fan motor issue so let it cool down, top up the coolant and bleed if required.

Once you increase the air flow the temps should stay normal unless you have a faulty stat or a permanent coolant leak.

I topped it up with water. Hit some traffic getting out of town, started moving and the temperature was hitting high again. Looks like the coolant level may have dropped. I'm pulled over waiting to cool down again. Argh. I don't even know how to bleed ha

  6. Hi I need help.

I've just dropped my nan off for a hospital appointment and when I was crawling around the carpark practically at idle speed, loads of steam started coming from the bonnet. Pulled over, coolant boiling making a lot of noise and a bit has spilled out. It's thrown a EML on as well. I'm now stuck. Should I just let it cool down, top it up with water and risk driving it home or will I risk making things worse?

  7. Morning, I'm wanting to change all of my drop links to get rid of a slight but annoying creaking, but after much searching can't really work out what the consensus is on what to spend. There's dirt cheap ones on eBay, is it a case of getting what you pay for? Should I fight my urge to be thrifty and buy expensive ones? And if so, which? Thanks in advance :)

  8. Mines seems to have returned to normal since the problem arose the other day. I've spent 140 quid on parts and fluid that haven't arrived yet and it seems to have been a one off. Don't know whether to keep hold of the bits and see of it resurfaces or to just get it done anyway.

  9. Excellent. CMS isn't the most user friendly, but I managed to place an order. Hope you're getting a cut of it ;) In my order history both the slave and the hose are showing as 2003-2005 despite having specified and ordered for 2005-2006. Is it because they take the same part?
