  1. No thats not right, the wheel needs to come off and check the cancelling mechanism , its an easy job to strip that back

They keep insisting it's normal... I understand that there is a click when the handle goes back to normal position but I don't get it when you turn your wheel to the same side. Is there a Nissan global complain system or something like that.. It's amazing how stubborn they are.

  2. Hello,

I got a second hand 2014 370Z AT with Sports Package and when I use the left turn signal and then I slightly move the steering wheel left, it makes a loud "click" noise. The signal still works fine and returns to off properly. It happens mostly when using the left turn signal but also in the right side.

Now, I went for the 40k service, explained to them the problem and they told me it's normal in a 2014 model. I checked a new 2016 and noise is not there, and a test drive 2015 and noise is kind of there but much much more quieter.

They took a video for warranty submission and just now I called them and got to know that again, they say it's normal in a 2014 model...

Any experience? What should I do.. it's annoying to hear that clicking noise. I'm planning to make an official complain.

Here is the video I took: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vbba6jisxjqcqea/Video%202-27-17%2C%2017%2032%2004.mp4?dl=0

  3. Seems the wear on the RE050A is pretty bad? For the reviews I've seen...

The car was lady driven before.. so.. not much of a spirited drive.

Anyhow.. got my car out of service and I guess I have a few months to change them, I'll wait till the 2017 tyres come. Still I'll not spend stupid money on tyres because here Michelin seems pretty expensive

  4. Last set of tyres I bought were from Tyreleader who ship from Germany - maybe they can hepl with your preferred choice and you have a friendly tyre fitter?

No Dubai shipping.. and I wouldn't risk shipping anything here.

  5. It's not only about price.. is also availability.. I just checked with many vendors are there are not michelins available for my size. The only thing I'm getting atm are Pirellis P Zero (similar price to Potenza), Potenza RE050A (3260 AED), Dunlop Maxx 050+ (2150 AED).

  6. I run the SportMaxx GT's in 20's and they ain't cheap but are superb tyres, beat the mpss in the latest Evo tyre test too.

Are those run flat? I'm using normals in mine. Also is there a difference between GT and 050+?

  7. I can't believe you can't get MPS4S in Dubai. The country where everyone must have the latest and greatest, regardless of cost?

    Try contacting Michelin directly.

Checked already... there no CUP2S neither SP4S here... only CUP2 and SP4. No one has experience with the Dunlops?

  8. My calipers are covered in stone chips. Just accept it along with the ones on the front bumper.

You could get them touched up, but it's like a hydra, fix one, and 2 more will take its place... :bleh:

Do you guys use some front bumper protection for long drives?

  9. Warranty claim for a stone chip

Well good luck in life mocking people :). I clearly asked what could have caused it.. then users pointed out about a possible stone. I'm glad most of the people here tried to clarify my question.

  10. I'll take a pic today after it's touched up, if it's not ok I'm detailing the car tomorrow at another place so might try there as well.

I also noticed some chips on the car sides just next to the rear wheels (idk if it has a name) as it might be picking stones from the front wheels. Porches have a clear plastic there but I have not seen a single 370z with those.. so it's my problem (or the area where I live) or it's something common?

  11. Hello guys,

I'm currently in Dubai and here rain is not a problem as it only happens a few days a year, so mostly dry/sandy roads. I have a 2014 370Z and I think is time to change the tyres. The are 19 inches Bridgestone Potenza RE050A.

To give an idea I can get the originals which are rated 94W and 96W for arund 720 pounds and the Dunlops are 460 pounds... you see big difference.

My question is.. would they be much worse than the originals? And how the 94/96 rating impacts compared to let's say a 100/100 or 100/98 rating? It's my daily driver and there are lots of bumps here (roads are pretty good, but bumps are made for 4x4 it seems), so I don't really want to compromise much on comfort.

    What do you guys think?

  12. What a nice community! Instant replies :).

Yes was my first post :).

DYI things are really not possible where I live (Dubai) as I don't have the tools, space or could get the materials that you guys get in UK -_-. So I'm kind of stuck with Nissan/garages. Besides everything is bloody expensive here except from gas (although it was 1.70 some months ago and now is 2)

  13. Stone chip. Easy done, either your wheel dragged it in or another car came flying past and threw a chip through the spokes of the wheel. Definitely not a warranty claim. Three options:

    1. Touch it up with a little bit of paint if you can get the exact colour match

    2. Remove caliper and send it away to be painted all over again

    3. Ignore it and accept these things happen

Me, I usually go for the last option.

Thanks! I thought it was my fault or the rim was to blame but didnt make sense. I must have been unlucky I did only 400 km in the car after I bought it secondhand and this happened -_-. Nissan said they were going to touch it up.. so let's see. I guess buying a new caliper would be pretty expensive.

  14. Hello,

How is this possible? It's at the top and seems that something really scratched it hard. My car is at the 40k official service atm and they say it's not covered under warranty and that they are not sure how it was done but they blame the user of course. They say they could touch up the paint though.

I wonder if it's really expensive to just put a new one?
