Thanks man,
Forgot to mention I've got a box of goodies to put on her soon

Hey guys,
Just picked my 07 HR up this weekend and already got the bug... On the day I picked her up I changed out the tired and old shift knob in place of a mishimoto weighted knob, and got the rears tinted in 0.5 and sunstrip laid in. I also got her sitting on some new shoes, MPSS ofcourse. I also switched out the antenna for something a little more stubby...
Today I set about giving her the first clean and wax of the year. Pretty happy with the quality of the paintwork as it is (apart from imperfections you'd expect)
She definitely needs a clean under the hood, so that will be my next bit of detailing to do
For future I'll have these immediate thoughts
- A quality service and healthcheck (Im fairly sure she needs a new oil pressure sensor for you eagle eyed peeps)
- Wrapping the roof, mirrors and door handles
- Tidy up the interior
- Splitter and side steps
- Exhaust system
- Long twintake (stillen probably)

Subbing for the 3m goodness!

Yep, that's indeed a sure fire way to tell. Mine is also a HR! What a coincidence haha
-
Welcome! Im picking my zed up this weekend. What engine is it?
-
It's the trend though isn't it. Big kit, wheels, wrap and not worry about the performance etc. I mean look at all those vag cars. Wrap and wheels.
People at shows aren't going to care about how ur headlights look just that it's got a crazy kit, wrap, wheels and probably air.
This is true, seems that's all it takes to make a car a 'show car' now. Bags, Alloys and a wrap
-
Can't in good conscience decide if I like it without seeing it with its correct wheels on. Very derpy in those photos haha
-
I'd love to pick one of these up with White lettering if available!
Thanks,
Scott

I second the vote on the evo!
-
That's a great example right there. But first mod has to be a stubby Ariel
I was about to say, I thought the stubby was the first mod on everyones plates

Re spray or wrap? Used to be a nice blue
According to the advert its a respray
-
I suppose that's true. Factoring in the respray, the bodywork, the alloys etc I suppose it balances back out
-
Well that is indeed interesting, however I suppose it is still only worth as much as someone will pay for it. As far as I am aware this advert has been up for some time
-
Over priced imho.
It's been up for a while and I can only associated that with the Cat, and for that price I could easily get a good condition unmolested exampe (that probably hasn't been smashed into a wall lol)
-
I read up on someone theory crafting a 4.36 final drive and they seemed to think it'd definitely add to the car with it being such a torquey N/A engine
Anywho, welcome! Im jealous of your collection ahha

Spotted this on Ebay

Looks great, nice write up and some nice photos... But cat c =/ I wonder if anyone would take the plunge knowing it's probably been drifted into a wall with them freely admitting it was owned by a drift enthusiast

Im having the same issue right now in my search. The North is particularly sparse haha
-
Suppose it's because they at a point where they've become desirable and affordable. Most people that know what they're looking for will aim to get something from 2006 onwards to avoid any of the quirks of the earlier model. That may have something to do with the inflation of the price to some degree

Only issue I have is how god damn good it smells. Can guarantee the flies are drawn in when I use it haha

I like the stuff personally. Good foam and dwells quite well

Im in the market for a HR at the moment. How has yours been? Have you had any of the oil burning issues that seem to plague them?
-
If only I had my funds together and ready! Great Zed there buddy, GLWTS
-
I think we need to see those slotted discs sat in there now

Where do you live ?
edit: Leeds way. Best bits of advice I could offer is A: buy from a member here and B: be prepared to travel for the right one and look at a few, unless like me you must have the first one you go see because it's been enthusist owned and that bit special
That's the plan buddy, I've viewed 4 so far (which were all local, within 30 miles). 3 of those have now sold (2 were not appealing and one was pretty much spot on) and the 4th is a possibility, however it's a wheeler dealer type that Im not sure I could trust
I've seen a few enthusiast owned ones that interest me, and I'm checking the for sale sub on here daily. Not in a huge rush anyway, so I am happy to be patient and wait for the right opportunity

I may have possibly... and its definitely a more mechanical drive. I can feel the road and the drive a lot more which is great!
Half Scottish Half Yorkshire, what can I say? hhaha
