  1. Of course I didn't consider these to have any worthwhile difference between starting with a DE or HR, so didn't mention them, but it goes without saying these are on the list too. *sigh*....I know. It's pretty stupid. I love the 350z though, as sad as it sounds, it's been my dream car for over a decade now. I didn't even consider stepping up to the 370z (50/50 on that one, but I definitely prefer the look of the 350 right now). So yeah, I know it's stupid, but this is the car.
  2. Quite a torquey set up with the turbo? 360ib/ft so not mega. Ah.... so 360 lb/ft could go bang. I'd better look at some supercharged dyno plots
  3. To clarify, I know 400+ has been done on stock internals on the DE, but what I tend to read is "400 is pushing it/the highest you can do safely". Is that OK? Would you rather have a bit more room for error? Or is this 400 limit taking in account a bit of room for error?
  4. Is it not all stuff I'll end up "needing" anyway by the time I'm finished? I wouldn't bother with a stage 3 as well just save up for the charger and supporting mods so its done in a oner. Personally would stick with de as you have it and will def get you over 400+ more than enough for road use That really is plenty for me. I guess one of the big concerns was whether or not the stock internals on a HR were a better suit for 400whp than the stock internals on the DE?

  6. Cheers guys! I am reading the FI forum quite extensively to get some idea of what is involved, but I thought my question of whether to plow on with the DE Rev Up, or upgrade to the HR first might have been a little more subjective. So far general consensus seems to be that by the time I've reached my target, I'll have done it cheaper with my current car and end up with BASICALLY something just as "good" as a "400whp ish" HR? No real value in doing this to a HR instead before I jump in? If there is value in doing it to a HR instead of the DE, I'm interested in doing it right and evaluating what that extra value is worth to me.
  7. Hello! Firstly I do apologise if the contents of this are a frequent topic that could have been searched for, however it's a discussion I'd rather be involved in rather than read about I have an 06 Rev Up 350Z, bone stock, and only 56k miles. Like many of you, I have the desire to throw a lot of money at it in a wide array of areas but I anticipate in the following year - Performance - All the usual bolt-ons and forced induction, most like supercharged. Target around 400whp if reasonable on stock internals. Would consider a built engine, but seems like a bit of a waste considering I'm not after anything mental, just the bit extra I feel the car deserves. Probably not too concerned about 10 or 20 whp here or there if not possible. Are people running FI reliably on stock internals, or is it generally a nightmare waiting to happen? I've had a read around and seen very mixed opinions. Now, I'm basically half way out the door ready to go ahead with the Stage 3 upgrade offered by Abbey/TDi, but it's a fair bit of cash even though it's the cheap end of the plan, and i'm having to stop and wonder... For the amount I'm planning on spending, is it sensible to start off with the 06 Rev Up I already have, or would I be wiser putting this initial investment towards part ex-ing for an 07+ HR? It's not like I'm unhappy with my car, but I'm not so attached to it that I would senselessly throw money at it if it would be more economical long term to upgrade first. On the other hand, if my long term goals are achievable just as easily with what I already have and know, then I also can't see reason to start again with a new car and new problems etc. So what would you do first? Roughly £2k on full bolt ons and a tune, or put maybe another £2k on top of that and look for a HR? Cheers!
