  1. Funnily enough I heard a 350 accelerating up the a11 on Sunday, quickly snapped my neck round to see your orange behind through the tree's going towards Thetford, I was shamefully parked in McDonald's stuffing my face with a double cheeseburger 😶 sounding good though Mylee! 🤙🾠we should probably stop bumping into eachother before people get suspicious though 👀

  2. :welcome: to the forum mate! Lovely looking car. Our paths may cross at some point! Usually in the Sudbury and Colchester areas though!

Thank you :) I'll keep an eye out for you! I'm a bit everywhere at the mo! An meets I would have seen you at in the area? :)

I haven't been to a single meet since having my Zed believe it or not, really want to so trying to keep my eyes open for a local one!

I drove past a blue convertible HR recently who I flashed (my lights haha) and then proceeded to wave my arms frantically at, was a lady driving who didn't even acknowledge me

Oooo okay well I'll post up on here when there is something local happening if you like? Normally Cambridge/ Royston/ Newmarket way :)

Hahahaha I do that all the time!! I was playing with another Zed on the way home yesterday in my 14. He was waving! Had the same orange, black wheels and went into mildenhall! (Think he was more shocked that I was a girl haha)

  3. Looks like it's been hydrodipped to me but I'm no expert, but if so it's actually made of plastic and should be fairly easy to sort with some normal body filler and sanding. Then figure out if you want it painted or find someone (probably a trader on here) who can dip it again for you for your carbon effect! ðŸ‘ðŸ¾

  4. I'm 22 now, 21 when I took out my policy with admiral and I'm paying £1300 or thereabouts with mum as a named driver and her Peugeot insured on a multicar policy. Think I had 2 years experience and 2 years no claims... Her premium went up slightly but it still worked out as a big saving for us a household so definitely try the multicar route if you can!

  5. I grabbed some Sonax BSD from amazon with a gift card I got for Christmas because father had been raving about the bead on his 1 series. I must say it's bloody impressive for a tenner a bottle! Beads seriously well, the car dries its self pretty much and it has a good self clean too! Also really quite easy to use although as said it's a little thick. First time using it in the freezing cold and it was still a breeze, goes a long way too! Definitely lives up to the hype IMO.

He's also used Bouncers but reverted back to Sonax. He's no professional detailer but has a few products under his belt and regards Sonax really highly

  6. Anyone got any pictures of a 350 on 17's? I fancy a set of rota kyusha's but can only seem to find 17's although the thought of that doesn't bother me as I like the look of chunky tyres

  7. i bought one for £27 on ebay, got here, was a pile of @*!# carbon weave was all wonky etc.. i complained, got £15 back, and then sprayed it black anyway  still not fitted it 6 months on though lol

Is the shape alright on it? I don't want carbon effect anyway really so could get a cheap eBay one and paint it the same as you if it's straight. Or you could sell me yours if you don't want it ;)

  9. Think you guys slightly misinterpreted me, my comment was aimed more at the guy saying 'shitty car' 😂 I'm all for a bit of banter on the net. That joke just went over my head clearly 😬

I doubt it, I'm 40, how old are you?

My mother also said the same thing, but she didn't mean it, and nether did yours, it's just something they say because its the right thing to teach a child, it won't change the fact that you will judge silently or overtly, everything that passes in front of you. But let me explain why I personally believe this is worthy of ridicule, it's just my opinion, and always remember, you do not put a 10 ft wing on a car if you don't want to be judged one way or another, or if you cared what anyone else thought...it's an aesthetic choice, the downforce is not needed.

In the car modding scene, you can put what you want on your car, it's your car after all, but you have to bear in mind convention, if you don't want to be judged by your peers in a negative way. Convention may be fickle and changeable, but aesthetics is actually a pretty mathematic science (in as much as psychology can be mathematic, there are certain things, like symmetry, which the human mind finds beautiful for unknown reasons, this is why we as a species largely share a view on aesthetics, Charlize Theron is beautiful, Shrek is ugly). Let me give a more specific example...

A dude walks down the street in front of you wearing hot pink jeans, a leprechaun green pullover and a red baseball cap. He's also wearing white socks which are visible and the most impressive pair of blue suede shoes you've ever seen. You turn to your partner/walking companion/imaginary friend and say 'fk me, is he on his way to a clown audition?', don't deny it. ;)

What's the difference when someone does the same thing on their car? To wear a ten foot tall wing and not look ridiculous (to the afficionado), the ensemble needs to be balanced. Either go full extreme, in which case that wing is ideal (in fact, it's epic as its completely above the roof line, a basic necessity to get full effect of this type of wing), or go oem plus and ditch the wing. To mix the two is to invite comments such as mine, and to me it looks crazy, very far from aesthetically pleasing, and you will not find I'm in a minority, it's a balance thing. Agree with the comment previously made that with only a few extra touches to 'theme' the car better, it would look hawt. There you go, that's almost constructive criticism. :)

But like I say, nobody puts that on their car if they care about negative attention, so I do hope the owner is not offended, and happy with his car.

    I'm 21 😸

I understand that you have every right to not like the aesthetic of the BGW in this instance, my comment was merely aimed at the sheer rudeness and the disrespectful manner in which people were commenting about a fellow forum members car publicly.

I agree you don't have to like how the car or the wing looks but some of the comments were not very constructive, especially when he's trying to sell it for what I would call a very fair price. The wing alone couldn't have been cheap.

My point being, just try and keep it civilised and respectful, shouldn't be too hard considering we're all infected with the disease we like to call 'Zeditis' ðŸ˜
