  1. There's this on autotrader. But the mileage is a bit over what your looking for. There are three more but they start at £10500

I did see that one. It's spot on and well-priced compared to the others out there but the mileage is just too high for me, I'm afraid. I could stretch to 60k maybe but that's as far really. Thanks for the link though

Dont get hung up on low miles, it bears no relation to condition or value, i have had two 350z now, one with circa 55k and one with 75k, the higher miler drove and felt felt far stronger.

Fair point, well made. I have to stress though that mileage isn't the decisive factor by itself. It's certainly a vital component but condition/quality will need to be there also. I require low mileage simply as a safety net ... They're much easier to shift it needs be. I'll be doing 60 miles a day so in my book I need to start with a low base to keep the mileage reasonable. If I start with the above 82k example, after a year's worth of motoring it's potentially a 100k car, which will put certain punters off.

The longer you can hang on the better. I searched for 4 months and I was originally looking for black.

Eventually, a night blue one showed up at a great price from a private seller.

This was unexpected, as it was between Christmas and New Year.

So in my case, it was worth being patient, as I purchased a cracking zed. :)

Patience is not a friend of mine  I'm trying as best I can and I'm trawling the classifieds everyday. Luck is a major element. Viewing two this weekend just to get some ideas and to start getting a feel for the cars; Silver 2004 & GM 200.

    Rocking...Horse...Poop!

That one at Smiths looks good but they will be trading on the fact they're a Nissan dealership - although you could remind them that they aren't a Nissan HPC .

I'd take a closer look at the higher mileage one - if it has had a good specialist/HPC service history it will be grand!

It may just be me though but have always found that Night Blues are more likely to have been owned by someone not necessarily an enthusiast - more likely to have been Joe Blogs who fancied a powerful two seat posing pouch and they will just have used their local Nissan for servicing - yet most enthusiasts would kill for a night blue with frost leather!

Good Luck with your search - what is for you won't go by you :)

They were fairly horrendous to deal with over the phone anyway. Between them and the J17 pedigree, it's a potential lemon avoided for me.

I take it you've seen this? If you can forgive the wheels looks ok http://www.pistonhea...---2008/5905296

I hadn't seen that one actually and it does look quite tidy (aside from those wheels :scare:) but out of my price range, esp. factoring in the necessary wheel change.

Enquired about this one today. Looks lovely but little scope for negotiation and it's a former Junction 17 car so a no-go for me.

On the plus side, I'm viewing a 2004, one owner with low mileage this weekend. It's not Night Blue but think I need to expand the search somewhat. Fingers crossed.

  3. OP, at the end of the day no one can truly understand what you're going through or how you feel. Whilst off-topic threads certainly spring up and have a place, I would say this is one of the things where you shouldn't turn to (or even open yourself up to) a community of relatively faceless people. It's just too important and could end up making you feel worse, which this does seem like it's in danger of doing.

For what it's worth, it certainly sounds like you have been dealt a tough hand but being a bit proactive will go a long, long way. There's been some good solid suggestions already but I think it all needs to start with you having a good chat with a professional. Use that as a base and then when you're in a better space, try to go expand your network & meet some new people. It's already been said many times but you seriously need some legal advice ASAP before you're taken to the cleaners. I work in legal services (data protection, not family law so I'm not much use in this scenario) and I can assure you that it's possible to get some kind of help for every circumstance, no matter what budget (if any) you have ... CAB, universities, even law firms have free walk-in clinics. Do a bit of research but I'm positive you'll find something and at the very least you'll be better informed before you commit to more substantial representation.

  4. Moved Keith. ;)

I don't know anything about them but hopefully someone on here might no more. Good luck.

    Thanks!!

I spoke to the proprietor about a Z but he had just sold it. He proceeded to answer a load of general Z questions and generally give me an education in Zs... must've been on the phone for half hour! He likes his Zs!!! He even offered to help me source my ideal Z. From memory his name is Mark... thoroughly nice bloke!

EVO generally have Zs under 60k miles, it's a staple of his business and he knows his stuff. I looked at a couple he had when I was looking to shift the M3. Unfortunately the M had to many miles on it for his liking so I went elsewhere.

Went and looked at a car from him, very nice and knowledgeable but couldn't make it work price-wise.

From what I've observed I'd have no reservations buying a car from him.

Thanks, all. This is good, positive stuff. I think the guy's name is Mark alright. Will definitely give him a shout to discuss a few I have my eye on :)

  5. Any feedback on these guys? They seem to have a few nice 350's listed on PH & eBay at the moment but I can't find any information about them on here, which seems odd given they have so many.

Although they don't have exactly what I'm looking for, I'm thinking about making a trip out there this weekend to view a few. I'd prefer to save myself the journey incase the overwhelming opinion is negative.

    Keith

  6. I think I've only seen one similar to mine on a Wales meet, and that was 50 odd cars.

Be patient and one will turn up.

I'll sell you mine if you like (for an inflated price);)

If you do ever think of selling it, keep me in mind ;)

Somewhat off topic but has anyone heard of or had dealings with EVO Motors based in Wiltshire?

  7. Thanks all. I have a feeling this will be a slow-burner alright but I'll wait it out & see what comes up.

I've been trawling the FS section & new members posts on here and it seems like there's only been 3 or 4 in last year 😓

  8. I've edited the post now - I actually meant to type 8.5k. Not a huge difference but it's only a ballpark. For the right example, I would deviate.

As an aside, I'm sure I read on here that it was available between 06 & 08? Could've misread though.

  9. Hi All,

Here's the deal - I'm currently on the look out for a 350z but I'm specifically looking for one in Night Blue. Being new to the Zed scene, I hadn't actually seen this colour prior to a few weeks ago on here & then I saw one in the flesh this weekend. It made up my mind fairly instantly!

Having made a few searches, however, it seems that they don't come up too often but hopefully you'll bear me in mind if you're selling or know of any available :)

    Guidelines:

    - Colour: Night Blue.

    - UK car.

    - Low mileage (<50k).

    - No rust / corrosion.

    - FSH, preferably from Nissan.

    - HPI clear & full MOT.

    - As close to standard as possible. I will accept subtle upgrades though.

    - Interior: This is an area that I'm particularly picky about. It must be immaculate. In an ideal world, it would be Frost White leather but I think this may be wishful thinking!

I'm basically looking for something super clean, that hasn't been thrown about. I don't mind having to do a few minor bits but nothing major please.

I'm based in North London but I'll certainly travel for the right car.

In terms of price, ideally I want to be around the £8.5k mark. Importantly, I intend to take the plunge no sooner than next month (end of Oct / beginning of Nov). I'm not in a huge rush but I would like to buy before Christmas. I realise I may have to expand the criteria if I'm not having any joy.

Thanks for reading & do pass along any tips should you know of anything suitable!

  10. Another vouch for SXOC. It really is a great club. Lots of useful info there.

I had an s14a myself for about two years - 00 with low mileage. It's a lot of car for the money & loads of fun. You can certainly still find unabused examples but will probably have to pay a premium!

  11. :welcome: got any old pics of the 200? :teeth:

I should do somewhere. I had an entire project thread over on SXOC but it seems alot of the pic links have broken over time. I'll dig some up!

    :welcome: along

Welcome to the forum Keith :)

Thanks all. I'm already picking up lots of v. helpful info. For instance, avoid Junction 17! I had spotted a few of their listings online but after what I've read on here, I think I'll just stay clear.

    :drive1

  12. Welcome to the club and good luck hunting. Post some photos here once you bring her home :)

Welcome along Keith.....best tell the missus I think, as soon as! :headhurt:

Lets know how you get on with that. :blackeye:

Hello and welcome along buddy 🙂

    Thanks again, all

With a name like KoukiKeith I knew you had something to do with 200sx or 180sx's lol

Still trying to find friends for my Buddy Jamie who has a Sileighty - are you on the SXOC forum at all?

    Welcome to Fairlady land :-)

Hahaha. Yes, it's a bit of a giveaway! I used to be very active on SXOC, under 'Keith88' but that waned once the 200 was sold. It's a great club too .... Must be something about Nissan owners!

  13. Hey Everyone!

Having been a distant admirer for some time, I decided to join up today as I'm now in the market for a 350z. Although, I haven't told the Missus that yet so we'll see how that goes I guess :boxing:

I'm originally from Ireland but now living in North London so do hope to get to a few events around the country. I've had a quick look around the site/forums already & it looks like a really well-run club.

Currently I'm not driving anything but my last 'fun car' was a 200sx so I'm not a total newbie to the Nissan family (as the username suggests).

Looking forward to learning some more and maybe even seeing some potential buys :)

    All the best,

    Keith
