Steelbeans - You are aware from this thread that replacement locks have been known to fail?

Best advice is to not have one (lock will not work) or if you are like some and worried about it missing (insurance issues - but that is really a red herring given later 370s do not have the locks fitted with no other security upgrades as far as I am aware), then use a blown fuse.......

Yes realise that, but want to sell the car in fully working order (unlikely to go in the next few weeks surely) . Will advise the new buyer of it and advise to pull the fuse.

  2. Hi Guys

Recently got my alignment done (first time since i got it) - drives noticeably better now however quikfit said they couldnt adjust the caster. See below is just over 4 degrees on both sides so not miles out but is this an issue? I realise they generally aren't zero on all cars to give some stability, but wondered if this was further out than usual (being red im not sure!)

    Cheers

  3. 3000 miles on the hankooks now and no better. Getting back on the RE050A's! Changing this coming week. Very disappointed with the hankooks, all over the road at speed its fricken dangerous!

  4. I'd have thought that in the dry, it'd be the opposite? As nearer slicks are more grippy? Or is it down to the newer tyre being softer (as its newer)? I'm certainly going to find a tougher sidewall next, mpss or back to the originals as that's what the Z's were tuned for I guess.

  5. Yeah i'll see if they bed in over next few hundred miles, sorry Potenzas on the front not P-Zero. They're on the low side which is why the slip light is coming on all the time. But didn't think that'd effect the swaying effect when turning slightly at speed. Will sell the part worn I reckon soon and go back to stock tyres

  6. Hi all. Just to let you know I got the hankook ventus s1 evo2 's and really not impressed so far. Soft sidewalls mean it now feels very flighty and slow to respond, to any inputs, especially at speed. A lot worse than the p zeros that were on it! Anyone else had bad experiences with hankooks? I'm going to change them as soon as I can

    How odd...

Hard to find a bad review about them anywhere..

How many miles have you done on them ?

About 100 miles so far, pretty sure I've pulled off the greasy layer now. They stick like glue with traction control off (?) , but with it on it restricts so much I don't really know why (its not losing traction). The characteristics of the car have completely changed and I've only changed rears, I've lost so much confidence with it

  8. Sorry to dig up an old thread, just that I've the same concerns as OP! I want a good deal of playfulness on back so I don't need to feel I have to push it as hard. Had recommendations of the Falkens 510s, is this a good compromise ?

  9. Hi all

Is the clutch slave cylinder issue (one of the only relatively common issues on these cars) something to be worried about? I assume it'll fail through seals going? I had mine replaced at around 40-50k so wondering what the chances of it going again at 100k...

Is it obvious through the clutch pedal when these do start to go?

    Cheers

  10. Hi all

I've recently got a '12 370z gt edition and every now and then the bluetooth streaming skips around a bit (like when you used to drop your old cd walkman) then catches up again to where it was. I cant figure out whats causing it and i know its not the phone as i stream just fine in the other car.

Anyone with this issue knows a solution?

  11. Hi all

I'm looking for a 370Z GT in manual, ideally as a swap/px for my bmw 125d

I haven't advertised it yet but would like to see if there was any interest here?

    Manual Estoril Blue

~51k miles (going up slightly as its daily)

M Sport Plus pack (M sport brake system + harmon kardon sound)

Remapped by MoreBHP in Crewe few months ago - dyno to show, now pushes around 265-270hp and 550nm (when taking into account dyno tolerances) - its a very quick little diesel!

Easily get over 50 mpg, towards 60mpg on runs so quite a good mix (and i think must be one of the the only diesels with this power still with manual box?)

Just come out of BMW warranty, had service pack with them for 50k miles, so until the most recent service which was done at a bmw specialist in peterborough (+ mot + front pads)

Overall really good condition, tyres good, paintwork good except two scratches on offside rear door which i'm getting a quote for soon (pics to be added).

Pretty much always run on V power diesel

Its worth around £14000 to £15000 judging by other cars, so looking in same ball park or perhaps a few k your way for the right Z.

Will post in the for sale section soon

Any interest? I thought i'd try here first as i'm getting a company car soon so no need for two diesels, and there must be people looking to go the other way into a practical / sensible, yet fast diesel? :p
