  1. No fault codes at the moment. Evilscorp I removed the throttle body from the manifold and cleaned it. It did start after the throttle body was cleaned and idled it was 2 hours after that it started playing up
  2. Looking for some advise or suggestions. Recently picked up,2004 350z 49 k on the clock. Hadn't been used in 3 years. With a new battery it started and everything was fine. Started it one afternoon and it cranked longer than usual and left the traction light on. I am a mechanic and have been in the trade for nearly 20 years. I have access to snap on verdict scanner and subsequently scanned the z and had a cam sensor code. I replaced the cam sensor with a genuine Nissan sensor and cleaned the throttle body whilst I was there. Car started and everything was fine. Went to go home in it 2 hours after fitting the sensor and it started on the button but with in 15 seconds the revs got lower and it wouldn't respond to the throttle and it cut out. No engine management lights so my first thought was it ran out of fuel as it was low but not low enough to put then light on. I put 20 litres of super unleaded in and it made no difference. After a bit of thinking I thought there was a problem with the crank sensor so I replaced it with a genuine sensor and it mad no difference. I am thinking there is a problem with fuel and possibly fuel pump issue although I can hear the pump priming. I haven't spent loads of time investigating but before I do just wondered if any one had any ideas. Sorry to have waffled on
