Hi everyone,
My beautiful 370z is dormant and i need to bounce some thoughts and glean some advice on how to overcome if you've a mind to help :)
Went out to her on Wednesday and got in using the keyless entry button as normal, before i even tried to start her there was an amber key light showing on the dash.
Batteries in the keys are new (Does this with both keys)
I get nothing more, she is clearly searching for a key and not seeing it via the ignition system. I googled and an American thread was suggesting the small fuse box on the bulkhead, I took that with a pinch of salt as the same fella was prattling on about clutch pedal switches/sensors. (It's not those)
I've settled on ignition switch, local dealer (Who services my car) suggested switch, lock and module at a crisp £1000 plus fitting an programming.
Any clever advice or do i bite the bullet and spend my exhaust on an ignition switch?
All help much appreciated.

Just saw a really nice 350z on the way home, that nice golden brown sort of colour, not sure what they call that. I was driving down the A127 towards Southend (Being harassed by a jerk in a merc) and he kindly let me sneak in front of him to escape.
Had a really nice tone to the exhaust as he went passed me as i turned off.
Around 7.00pm this evening.
Hope he's on here, if he is, Nice Z! and thank you! lol

Remap
in Performance
Hi, I've just had my 370z remapped by abbey motorsport using the uprev .my car is fitted with hfc and scorpion exhaust , I also had problems with the eml coming on but Mark at abbey has sorted this with the remap. The car now has a quicker throttle response and is 20bhp more powerful than standard now.
I cant thank abbey enough .
How much was that bud?

The whole concept of brake horse power is a little weird to be honest, if you look back at where the phrase and workings come from, it's a measurement for how far a single horse can plough a field in a given time.
Now getting back to the size of your dong, that'd be a different kind of ploughing.
Maybe American dirt is thinner than ours and generally weaker so they have higher measures.
Personally I like the folded arm rationale, makes way more sense to me.

I had a look and saw exactly what you meant, swapped the mic across and it's now perfect.
Thanks for the info, it was spot on.

Thanks for moving the question to the right area (And the bump!)
Brilliant info Robchriscross, thank you! I'll strip it and have a look this weekend.

Hi everyone, wonder if I can pick your brains a little.
I have a 2011 370z (Sec I'll finish typing in a mo I'm chair dancing with a massive smile on my face)
Anyhoo, I'm having a problem using my phone with hands free.
It all works perfectly, except the person I am speaking to can't hear me properly, I hear them just fine but when I speak I'm too quiet to hear.
I'll admit I've done nothing to sort it yet, instead wondered if there was a common fault or if anyone had dealt with a similar issue.
Any help would be gratefully received.
Kind Regards
Djan.

I'm going!

Really like the car, it'll fit you like a glove in no time
-
Had it exactly a week and someone keyed it yesterday while it was parked and I was at work
No rhyme or reason, not outside anyone's house and not blocking anything.
Still, I only have to catch em once.

Blown away by the replies, I feel part of the family already, thanks chaps

After a couple of years talking and planning I finally bought a 370GT (2011)
A little back ground, I'm in the motor trade (30 years) and I have long since stopped being emotional about cars. (At best I'm indifferent, at worst I detest them)
But having driven my Z around for a couple of days, I think I'm in love. I can't bare not to be in it!
I've opted out of the company car scheme and am going to drive it every day. (Yes it'll cost a fortune in fuel and NO! I don't bloody care! It's mine and I'm driving it!)
I got a red one (I'm grinning while typing)
What is the advantage of the exhaust? (Will my insurance hate me for putting one on?)
How do I get my android phone to play music through bluetooth? (I'd like that)
How do I stop smiling at everything I look at when I'm driving it?
How do I stop it taking over my life?
Cheers chaps
