Any difference between the DE and HR mid pipe and back box exhausts?
arif_manji replied to arif_manji's topic in Exhaust
I got the jack out yesterday, this is what I found. Do you guys think its worth me also replacing the mid pipe too? It doesn't look that great either. I also saw that the earth strap on the centre pipe has broken off, Nissan want £20.99 for it. Its inc in the price below. I called Nissan Nismo in Cambridge, they quoted me £902.69 fitted for both pipes or £674.23 just the parts below. - Back box Muffler £361.63 - Mid Centre Pipe £241.55 - Gasket Between Rear Box and Centre Pipe £18.46 - Fitting Nuts x 4 £9.88 - Gasket Between centre pipe and Y pipe £ 21.72 - Earth Strap £20.99 Labour to fit £228.46 (bit of a joke I thought?) Thoughts? Could I get it anywhere cheaper? -

Hi guys, I'm after the mid pipe and back box exhaust for my 2009 HR model Zed please. Has to be the Genuine Nissan part. I'm not sure if the DE model one is the same? Any help would be appreciated. You can PM me or drop me a text on 07989 025916. I'm located in Bedford and Peterborough but can travel for a good one. Cheers

Anyone had any experience with Glyn Hopkins Nissan in Bedford? -
Hi Guys, I am intendng to fit a BlackVue DR650s dash cam in my 2009 350z HR. I am mainly fitting it for the purpose of the parking mode and motion detection feature that works with wifi straight alerting you to your smartphone I have purchased the BlackVue cameras (front and rear) and also the Power Magic Pro that keeps the camera on without having the ignition powered. I have also bought a couple of fuse tap adaptors so it can be connect to the fuse box without any modifications to any wires in the car. My questions are: - Where is the fuse box in th car? - I need 2 fuses to tap into, one for when the iginition is on and one for a constant power feed. Which fuses are the best to tap into? - I also have to fit another camera to the rear windscreen, so I need to run a cable from the front of the car (dashcam) to the rear of the car (to the rear dash cam). I want to run the cable through the roof lining into the boot. Can I run it through the boot lid harness, is there enough room through the rubber bit the harness goes through? Any help would be apprecated. Thanks

Cheers mate! The work I had done on it was to repair and repaint - Passenger side rear quarter (scratch/pin dent) - Passenger door (pin dent) - Passenger side skirt (stone chips) - Wing blend new paint and re-lacquer - Boot lid blend new paint and re-lacquer Being a perfectionist (manly OCD lol), they did a fantastic job! I highy recommend them to al 350z owners! They are perfectionists themselves and don't have the "it will do" attitude unlike many other bodyshops!

350z 2009 - Drivers side window has stopped working?
arif_manji replied to arif_manji's topic in Bodywork
Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Now the weather has gone cooler, the window has been working for the last 3 days fine? Not sure what to do. As they car is still on warranty, I'm sending it into Nissan who will check it out and replace the motor - warranty company have confirmed they will pay out for the repairs. Just not sure what happens now as its working? Cheers -
Hi Guys, My drivers side window has stopped working . I can hear it clicking but no movement. If I open the door and push it down a little, it works and goes down. Once back up again, it stops working. Can I assume I have a faulty motor? Any advise will be appreciated. Apologies if this isn't in the right place. Cheers

I want to retain the BOSE unit because the sound it amazing! -
Hi Guys, I'm wondering if anyone has fitted a GROM USB adapter to their BOSE system? It connects into the CD changer slot on the back of the BOSE unit and works by pressing the CD6 button. If anyone has, could you let me know if it works all OK? I want to get this but want to be 100% its a good one before getting it. OEM Windscreen replacement - The insurer won't cover all costs
arif_manji replied to arif_manji's topic in Bodywork
Thanks for the advice guys, the insurance company have done me a good deal so ill be just paying £100 towards it and they will fork out the rest. My excess is £75 anyway, so £25 extra to get an OEM screen is perfect. -
OEM Windscreen replacement - The insurer won't cover all costs
arif_manji posted a topic in Bodywork
Hi all, I recently got a stone chip on my windscreen which caused a slight crack. I got on to autoglass and requested an OE screen. They said the insurer wont cover the cost as I am requesting a OE windscreen. After having a rant with the insurer, they said they will only pay £500 - £75 excess for the windscreen but means I have to pay the extra which is £270 + the cost for labour. The OE windscreen from Nissan is £770 inc VAT. Does anyone know how much Nissan would charge for something like this or what's the best thing to do? My insurer is Priviledge. Cheers -
Cheers Mark!

That's for the phone. Look closely and you will see small slots for the mic. Thanks for the reply mate. I checked again and don't think its for the phone, as the mic is mounted next to the interior light, please see picture. Can someone tell me if they have this in their HR model? If it is a DAB atenna, can you connect it to the original BOSE unit because thats what it has installed?
