  2. Admiral and elephant are the same company along with bell and diamond. The reason they're cheaper is becuase even though you declare mods in the small print it says if you crash they will replace with standard parts or just pay book price in case of a write off.

  3. could do with a bit paintwork, wheel refurbs, dent removals & interior panels haha if it was the right price it wouldnt be so bad.

Keep searching, i've seen some tasty ones on ebay today myself (just being nosy as I already have one)

There was a gunmetal 55 plate with 60k on the clock & orange leather for £6,995 or £6,495 (cant remember)

I came across some monstrosities when I was searching, particularly aftermarket bodykits which were chipped and cracked to pieces.

That headlight/ bumper gap is standard by the way ;)

Standard yeah but the way i could move it like rubber wasnt ;)

  4. I just couldn't believe how someones treated this poor zed and i also couldn't believe the condition it was in for the price. I was thinking about asking them for a really cheap deal but honestly the way the gaps are and certain panels are it looks like its taken impact at some point.

  5. So... Ive been looking for a 350 for a few weeks and just went to see one in Swindon. The ad for this described it in good condition and a credit to its former keeper... The car was a 2004. Back, 80k miles priced at 6.5k.

The car was awful there wasn't a panel on it without bad damage and I mean even the windows had deep grazes on them! Alloys where completely destroyed and chunks of the 'new' tires where hanging off. they had also failed to advertise the huge dent in the roof holes in the door stills and paint cracks and bobbles every where!! Poor zed 52d58429072e9d0bf63a8ec69ea9eec4.jpg

  6. If you're looking at early HR models, make sure you look under the bonnet as there was a fair amount of overlap with late registered DEs. The HR bonnet also fits straight on to the DE so you can't rely on the bonnet bulge to know what car you're buying. There are a few traders who have sold people the 'wrong' car by not knowing this basic stuff.

Lift the bonnet - if it's got two air intakes and the oil dipstick is front-and-centre on the engine, it's a HR. If there's only one air intake and an awkward dipstick, it's a DE / RevUP.

Gearbox on the HR is better and it has a higher rev limit compared to the earlier models.

That's really good to know thank you!

  7. I avoided the RevUp model because of the potential oil burning issue. That would have been just my luck. Just something to ask about anyway if you look at one of those.

Is that an actual model in the sense: will it show up on a number plate check? That's really good advice though thanks.

  8. Literally just an hour before you posted this, I see this:

Granted it's slightly above your budget... but at that price, I'd snap Daryl's arm off! That is guaranteed one of the best you'll find for sale at the moment.

I know it's a beautiful car to unfortunately I need to sell my car first and I'm out of country soon until mid June bad timing for sure.

  9. I am in the market for a 350zed with a budget of 5 - 6k looking for a well looked after zed that needs a good home! Due to circumstances I would be looking to buy one of these around 1 - 2 months from now.

If you're thinking about selling yours etc.. Please let me know details. Just trying to generate extra options.

I am located on boarder of Oxfordshire in the heart of the cotswolds however I can travel.

  10. HI guys,

I don't actually own a 350z yet but i really want one. Ive been eyeing them up since i was about 15 years old (currently 22) and now insurance doesn't cost the price of my arm im in a position to buy one!

I have a few questions though and most of them stem from my budget so i'd be really greatful if someone could help me out :)

I have a budget of about £5000 - £6000 (i could go up but really not wanting to go crazy and i don't want to finance as i like to play!)

Most of the cars in this budget are around 50 - 80k+ miles. What are these cars like of this age? everyone would be different i mean but generally are there any BAD wear and tear that could be expensive to fix

Was there a bad year or anything? i know the car i currently own had alot of recall warnings one year for the handbrake

Is there any dodgy other things i should look out for relating to these cars?

I have a pretty good knowledge of cars myself and i do a lot of detailing so i know most of the nooks and crannies in cars also i would be bringing an experienced mechanic from my family for any viewings.

    Thanks in advance! :)

( currently own a honda civic Type s GT with mint body work and lots of extras )
