  1. Service 10/10 communication 10/10 delivery 10/10

Couldn't recommend using Torqen enough !!

Customer service from Adrian was top notch, helped with the whole process making the service much more enjoyable to go through.

Will definitely be using again in the future !

  2. do they still get nicked?

just lock mine with the key :)

I thought the same until today. Just been told that someone (again) has been where my car has been parked and looked it over, looking underneath and everything. Been told that not far from me there has been a number of cars been stolen by picking them up and putting them on the back of a truck.

Needless to say my car has now been moved to a more secure location lol

  3. Only replace the pipes that are seriously corroded.

Never heard of having to replace the complete set.

Is this an MOT failure or just an advisory ?

    As what Keyser has said.

I have all the pipes in stock, however I doubt very much that you will require them all.

Are you running Brembo or JDM calipers ?

I would get the garage to more specific on what is required.

Could well be just surface rust which will clean off and then you can give them a good coating of grease to prevent further corrosion.

Well my brakes completely failed on the way home from a friends, noticed a leak where it had burst. When I put it in the garage I asked them to fix it and mot. They told me that they were all completely rusty and not in a great condition at all. It's an 04 car and when I saw amount of rust I didn't really question them.

Turns out that it hadn't gone through the mot and they were just visually inspecting. I have brembo's. I'm not sure what they removed in total, will have another look at the invoice shortly, needed to sit down with a beer for a bit after being told my cost haha

  4. If you don't go through Nissan, Its a single piece of brake tubing that needs to be bent into the right shape. The tubing and fixings should cost around £20.

No idea how long it takes to bend it into shape though. Can't be more than a few hours .

I got charges 10 hours for fabrication and install - but the general consensus was that I got massively ripped off :kicking:

You may not the only one that was ripped off then ..... Just got my car back, parts came from Nissan dealer I believe, totalling £190.... That was for the full pipes underneath though I believe, labour charges were in the 300 range so my total bill was £603

Kind of shocked but kind of not, just glad I have my car back ....

    Thanks for your replies.

From reading your build thread Keyser, I'd say that these kinds of jobs are a doddle for you ;)

  5. I was wondering if someone could tell me, roughly what am I looking to pay for the brake pipes being replaced right through the car. Garage told me that had to order them from Nissan and I'm slightly cringing at what the price will be. So far the garage hasn't given me the price because they said they couldn't tell me a price because they were unsure of how difficult it would be to remove the old stuff....

Any info is much appreciated :)

  6. So that was annoying. Phone up Nissan, give them the keycode number that I have with my car, they charge me £20 for the key, finally gets here and lo and behold, it doesn't fit :(

Refer to my previous post #6

I did listen mate, it wasn't the part number I gave it was the keycode that they needed and what I gave them. The key itself would appear to be the right one, ie: the pattern shape. It's just that the bolts on the car seem ever so slightly bigger which won't allow the key to sit on it.

  7. I'm not at all sure anymore really. I was dead set on the laughing skulls at first but now that I can't find them it's hard to picture a thing else if you know what I mean.

I've looked through a few places and nothing really jumps out at me. I want something different yet not to much going on if that makes sense. Probably being a bit fussy that's all haha

Few more films to look at here from another professional trader on the forum: https://www.aquagraphix.co.uk/product-category/film/

Just for some more ideas.

Yeah I've already checked them out mate, some nice stuff but it's hard to find something that stands out lol

  9. Never fear I am here!

What pattern are you after mate?

I'd say 50% of dipping films are dictated by the base coat so if you want it white then white it shall be.

    For example

Snake skin is completely dictated by the colour - White, purple, green and yellow paint would equal white, purple green and yellow snake skin.

Blue flame however requires a white base coat as the film itself already has the colour blue in it. The white simply provides a background colour for the translucent blue part of the film.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I'm a little familiar with how the films work, I've used a few, from carbon, skulls and joker faces.

However, the majority I've 'played about with' all seemed to have a fair bit of ink to the pattern, which obviously covers the base coat.

I had in mind the laughing skulls https://www.aquagraphix.co.uk/product/white-laughing-skulls-hydrographics-film-100cm/

But this is a white outline which would clash with the white background. I see there is also blue laughing skulls but I really had my mind set on black ones. Can't seem to find them anywhere though :s

  10. I agree, get them dipped in something you like. Extremely hard wearing!

I would suggest carbon for the doors, but the center I'm not sure, as personally I think it would be a bit much

Also, shaming you for Chris Brown ;)

I like the carbon but it's too common these days, trying for something different.

Don't mind being shamed for Chris brown, it could of been a lot worse showing ;) haha

  11. This is what I want but it needs to be reversed in order to keep it mainly white.

I'm swaying towards just keeping it white but was wondering if anyone had any of their own done in something similar or just a general idea of what people's thoughts are :)

  12. So I painted these over the last few weeks, my intentions were to hydro dip but the film I have in mind is proving hard to find and the more I look the more adamant I am of the design. I'd like to keep as much of the white as possible. I'm really taking to the white and now I'm wondering whether to leave it as is or to hydro dip. What's everyone else's thoughts ?

  13. I've never had the pleasure of trying to do them on the Z yet, but I remember changing them on my mates Hyundai coupe and they were a nightmare too. On that I had to lay on my stomach with my shoulder pressed into the disc itself and managed to give it a good yank from there. One bolt did snap mind you but think that was down to rust more than anything.

Don't know if that position would be any help to you on the Z Zeus.

  14. I had both my door cards off at the weekend and no bolts dropped out.

Thanks Zeus, I think I'll have to have a look again but a bit harder this time. Just surprised me that it could fall out so easily

  15. So I'm doing some work on my interior, painting a few panels and then eventually dipping them. Ive took the door panels off without so much of a problem to get to the air vents.

When removal the door panels though, I've found that on both sides that a bolt with a washer has just falling out, there's been no rattling before removal so I'm wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them ? I can't see where they would go back in to, seeing as they just fell out when I popped the panel I'm assuming it wasn't in anywhere in the first place.

    Slightly confused here lol
