Not sure I'd ever consider a car because of the owner's club though.

Hey guys undecided on a 370z, however anything else I look at does not give me the childish buzz in my stomach, i suppose the only thing putting me off was the large cost my 350z was as it had a few issues.
I've not had my 370z long but I'm loving it,
puts a smile on my face when i climb in it to go anywhere,
Any car what ever the make or model can have issues, i wouldn't let a bad experience with a 350Z put you off.

I imagine if you press the ignition button without the clutch disengaged it should power everything up?
Thanks KyleR that worked,
Ignition on engine off.

I've owned my 370z a couple of weeks now and all is going well,
Just got a couple of questions that hopefully you guys can help with,
My Zed has the sat nav/phone and single cd player option,
Up to now when I've been setting these up or sorting out the memory options I've had the engine running is there away of having the ignition on or powering the sat nav and stereo with out running the engine.
Also in the centre console box there's a round power plug in, a USB port and 3 small round coloured plug ins,
I'm guessing that the 3 small round coloured plug ins are perhaps a dvd plug in option.
I have an android phone and I've tried plugging it in the USB port to either download or play my music but its not recognising my phone,
Is there an AUX plug I've not found yet or any other way of downloading music into the memorybox apart from off a cd.
Thanks

Thanks Guys,
No plans at the moment Mattross,
I've spent years modifying my Jeep thats got to go now to make space for the Zed,
So I'm going to have a break from spending most of my weekends under my car with the spanners.

Can't really do much more than that!

Very true Tuck,
I've found out the hard way a couple of times its a of a leap of faith when you buy a 2nd hand car,
Was the 2011 silver 370z at Nissan Perth that you've gone for or another.
-
So where did you go for this one, private or dealer?
From a dealer,
Not a main dealer but found an immaculate 12 plate from a 2nd hand dealer who sells top end cars,
It was a lot of money to me but it was one of their cheaper cars,
They were selling £80/90k 2nd hand cars like Audi R8's and Porsche's.
In my experience private dealers are far easier to deal with and will sort things out on the car once the money has been handed over.
My question is why walk away from the 2011 plate with low miles, because it had 4 previous owners or that it was scuffed etc?
A bit of both Tuck,
I could have accepted the ammount of owners if the car was immaculate,
There was 3 areas of damage on the paintwork that the dealer was going to get touched up, plus a few scuffs inside,
Personally i think the dealer should have sorted any damage then advertised it.
Ioneabee i will give details once i got her, i would hate to jinx anything.

Finally found a 370z and put a deposit down,
Its going to be a long 7 days till i pick her up next Saturday,
Went to see 1 at a main dealership so they were asking top money for it which had scuffs everywhere,
which the salesman kept saying we will sort that for you,
But what really put me off was it was a low mileage 2011 that had 3 previous owners plus the guy who had part ex'd it, so i would have been its 5th owner in 5 years.
Obviously i walked away from that 1,
I will post some pics up next week when I've picked her up.

Hiya,
I'm just sorting out my finances and waiting for some time off work then i can properly get down to looking for a 370z,
It seems on Autotrader and the like, that Juction 17 cars have half the 370z's for sale in the country,
Has anyone had any experience of buying from them either good or bad.
Thanks.

Nice one smoking gun,
Sounds like a far better buy now with some previous servicing history í ½í±
-
I think you made the right choice giving that 370z a miss,
Personally its servicing history would have put me off,
if the current owner can't tell you much about its history and Nissan last saw it in 2012 does that mean it may not have had an oil and filter change for nearly 4 years,
It does my head in when people will spend 20-30k on a car then scrimp on paying out a few hundred quit to give the poor thing a service once a year.
I'm in the same boat as you smoking gun having to play the waiting game before i can get a 370z,
Unfortunately i work away alot so I've got to wait for some time off.

For me the coolest 4x4 would have to be my 2004 lifted 4.0L Jeep Wrangler fitted with 33in tyres,
Which will soon be on the market as I'm looking at going the other way from 4x4 to a 370z.
I do love the Wranglers, especially the newer shaped ones. Saw some just like yours in Canada but the LWB versions, just a shame they are so damn expensive!

That would have been a TJU model you saw in Canada Jonty,
I've owned the newer shape it was a top of the range swb petrol version called a JK Rubicon on a 2009 plate and it leaked like a sieve when it rained, so i got rid of it and went back to an older TJ model.
All Wranglers hold there money really well even a 2007 diesel JK costs over £10k,
The downside is all JK'S since they were launched in 2007 have a 50/50 chance of leaking when it rains,
its a design fault on the door seals Jeep could never bother to rectify,
Hence why i won't be spending in the region of 20+k on another but instead looking at buying a 370z.

Thanks guys for the replies,
I got you now about the exhaust,
I will get Christmas and the new year out of the way and start properly looking for a z,
Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
-
The the Z is my 1st auto car and I love it if u fancy a good blast use the paddles or shifter then back into auto for a nice relaxing drive, you'll be needing an exhaust upgrade to go with that Z though 😆

Thanks Robchriscross,
Definitely clearing up my auto concerns,
Ok i know nothing really about the Z so this may be a daft question but why do they need an exhaust upgrade,
Is the standard exhaust restricted so an upgrade will release more power ?
-
Thanks Richf for your reply,
This is what i was looking for accurate advice from people who own and drive the 370z,
I've watched and read many of the reviews but they only drive them for a bit then give them back.

Hiya,
I'm considering buying a 370z and was hoping to get some advice of you guys,
I'm looking at buying about a 2010 plate with the auto box instead of a manual mainly because I'm getting lazy as i get older.
Which is were i need advice about the auto gearbox,
I've always driven a manual apart from a 54 plate Audi TT 3.2L V6 with the DSG auto box i owned a few years ago,
Which i found to be a great gearbox, I've read up on the 370z and know the auto isn't a double clutch type.
Are there any owners with the auto box who can advise me about the 370z auto as i love big V6 engines but dont want to feel disappointed if the auto box doesnt match up to the engine.
Yes i know a test drive myself will answer my question but its good to get other owners opinions too.
Thanks.
whats the alternative to a 370z

I'm not doubting the authenticity of an Auto Express test, and I've never driven a 2.3 Mustang or a 350Z BUT,
When ever i watch or read these car tests and reviews there only giving their opinions, fill a room with 50 so called experts and you will get 50 different opinions.
For me a 370z gives a big bang for a reasonable ammount of money,
Yes there's faster and better but probably at alot more money.
