  1. Hi everyone,

As this is my first time buying new alloys for a car and I have standard ride height so nothing has been altered here.

I have a few questions to be answered by the ones in the know, plus an opportunity for those with this set up if any to shown off their Z.

Firstly if anybody has this set up on wheels can you upload your photos so I can see how the car sits and how the wheels feel the arches?

Secondly I have been advised this should be a good set up and should not involve any arch rolling or adjustments to my ride height or buying coilovers to adjust camber. Is that correct?

Thirdly on these wheel sizes please advise the best tyre set up.

I'm trying to feel my arches, also have very slight stance to rear and front, clear brembos and not hit fenders or wheel well.

    Thanks in advance all,

    Tony

  2. Thanks 14N for my boot divider.

Here's installed in my Z. I put bolts and sprayed them black through mine so I can attach it to my existing fittings. Mainly cos I drive like a loon and it fell out once when I slammed the breaks on and something loose in my boot knocked it out of place. Great quality and glad I invested in one.

    Thanks again

  3. I have tried to contact RT performance numerous times in order to get front splitter painted and rear spats painted as well as get them all fitted.

I haven't yet had a reply for past few days. I've just called them and left a message. Hopefully they will get back to me as I want to get the work done next week.

  4. clearing the brembos is all down to the spoke design - some wheels will have high offsets and still clear the brembos with no spacers (ie OEM wheels) wheras other low offset wheels still wont fit even with hefty spacers. All down to wheel design.

what wheels exactly do you have your eye on? as you wont get much dish on 8.5"/9.5" wheels with 35mm offsets - the standard rear wheel is 8.5" with a 33mm offset, and that's not exactly dishy!

See image attached. Like the design of these. They are at a reasonable price and I don't want to spend much more than £500 for 4 as I'm looking to save for other mods this year and a few holidays. Just bored of my OEMs and fancy a change.

  5. Just some advice please as I've never bought new alloys before in a bigger size,

I'm looking at getting new alloys that are 19" 8.5J ET35 for the fronts and 19" 9.5J ET 35 rear.

Been advised to have 20mm spacers all round to clear the brembos and to get following tyre sizes for front 225/40R19

    And rear 245/40R19

I currently have 20mm spacers front and 25mm spacers rear.

Will these fit without difficulties as I haven't lowered car or anything and I want to have an easy fit with larger and wider tyres without having to fiddle to much or get coilovers I presume to fit them under the wheel arches.

Thanks all in advance for advice. Pic of deep dish I'm going for.

  6. The heat shield that comes with the JWT pop charger (posh term for a cone filter) is a really simple design. If you have access to some aluminium or thin steel and are able to cut/bend/form it, it'll be dead easy to make.

I'll trace round the profile of mine and include it with your divider if you like mate?

I've only just seen this post. Blast missed the opportunity

Gonna have a go at building one up in March when I've got some more time on my hands. Unless u don't mind emailing me a trace of the design u have for your heat shield. :cheeky wink:

    They look great

How are they holding up since being fitted as I've read mixed reviews on build quality on them. Hoping they are still going strong. If so might fright myself this summer.

  8. Just curious but I'm trying to get a heat shield for my Z as it's got a pod filter. If I can't source one I'll have to go about making one. I was kind of hoping I could source one at reasonable price from somebody.

Working shift work makes you lazy and I don't fancy doing a DIY unless I have to at last resort.

    Thanks in advance

  9. Hi All,

I'll be making 10 Vertical Tonneau Covers / Boot Dividers for the special price of £50 (this includes delivery).

Their primary use is to prevent prying eyes peering into your boot and seeing whatever it is you're carrying, but they do also stop shopping flying into the cabin under heavy braking and they do reduce road noise a little. Here are a few pics for those that may not have previously seen them:

Further details and images can be found on my Member Trader's thread here: http://www.350z-uk.c...r-boot-divider/

The offer includes a divider with (pretty much) any colour 'Z' as they can be wrapped in material or vinyl, it doesn't include any of the "one off" designs I'm afraid. :)

So let's start a list, if you'd like one, please add your name, you know the drill.

    Cheers, Ian :)

  10. I have nismo replica rear spats from Tarmac sports and a front splitter also from Tarmac. The front splitter requires painting in black to match the rest of my Z, the rear spats are black gel coat.

The main questions I need help on are?

I would like to get them fitted properly by a professional. Is there anybody on this forum around the Middlesex area who happens to know a professional body kit fitting specialist? I have found one on Google RT performance. Are they a trade member on the forum as they have a lot of 350z on their website? If so would they be able to help me out.

    Thanks in advance.
