  4. Good afternoon

I'm looking to purchase a new clutch and flywheel. I want an upgrade from stock as I'm planning of getting a remap in the year after adding a plenum spacer and new exhaust.

I've been informed that RTS are a good brand for a good quality clutch kit. Has anybody had any experience of them and if so what's your feedback?

Initially I was looking at going for an exedy stage one clutch kit and shopping around for a flywheel. Anybody got any feedback on the exedy stage 1?

    Thanks in advance

  5. Just a quick question.

Looking to find a OBD2 reader that can transmit data to my iPhone with different parameters such as air inlet temp, mpg, engine power usage etc.

There's a lot on eBay and Amazon but not sure which ones would be compatible with the 350z and an iPhone as there are different protocols and different software OBD2 readers

I have established that a UK spec 350z using iso0194-2 and OBD2 readers can read this data if it has the correct protocol on it. But eBay being eBay a lot of these could be dodgey or say they read it but don't. The other thing is some of these will probably read it but may have issues connecting to a iPhone due to iPhones Bluetooth issues so have thought wifi would be the safer option but Bluetooth is faster than wifi right?

The next issue is if I find one that connects to my iPhone some won't support all the iPhone apps that are sold on the App Store.

Ideally has anybody done this before and if so which OBD2 scanner did u buy for your z to connect to iPhone and what app did u use?

    Thanks in advance

    Tony

  6. Ebay, but from the states. The seller is 'ukwholesellar' but that particular knob isn't on there at the mo. Still, if it crops up again, they are pretty good and quick with shipping

That's who I got mine from

Thought it looked pretty similar! Did you have issue threading the retaining nut on under the gaiter? Cos mine only went on a coulple of turns, so I just left it off

No only issue really was the thread adjuster wouldn't go completely flush with the gear knob. So therefore when screwing it on it would sit straight to car so had to then fiddle with the thread size adjuster so it was slightly more out about a quarter turn so it positioned correctly. I then used some old water hose under gaiter to stop the gaiter boot falling all the way down as I didn't want to much shift lever to be on shown.

  8. Morning.

First off - You wont get stance without springs or coilovers. Will look like a monster truck.

Secondly - Wheel offsets sound fine. Common setup.

Thirdly - To clear the Brembo's, depends on the size

Fourthly - Coilovers don't adjust the camber, you have to buy adjustable camber arms.

Finally - Tyre size, I'm no expert, but I'd be looking at 245/40/18 and either 265 or 275/40/18.

So would the wheels that are front 18" 9J ET20 and 18" 10.5J ET20 make my Z look like a monster truck?

As my OEM wheels leave little gap at the top of arch to fender and they are 18" with 225/45R18 and 245/45R18 tyres front to rear.

    Thanks again
