Hi everyone. Apologies if this is not the most appropriate place for this post but given its about the car i am looking to buy I thought it would be a good place to start.

I have had 4 350s in the past and after saving hard for a long of time I am finally in a position to buy my dream car.

I am in the market for a white 370z mk2 nismo and just wondered if any of you or indeed anyone you know are looking to sell from now up to Christmas time?

    Thanks, Rory.

Hi Rory, I’m thinking about selling up I’ve had her since new but I fancy a change, if you’re interested then let me know. I’ve put a brief spec below.

White Nismo mk2 65 plate, registered December 15, Currently on 8,200 miles but will increase slightly. Still has over 1 year warranty left and service pack. Completely standard apart from the ARK grip exhaust (sounds great) I still have the original exhaust if required. Anymore deltails then let me know.

    Thanks

    George

  2. I know exactly what you mean about the driving experience the Nismo gives you, it feels raw and hands on. I feel a GTR or something German may lose the enjoyment of driving somewhat as it may feel too clinical!

  3. Cheers for that mate, I have to agree on the looks front as the MK2 Nismo is simply stunning 😠I just get bored of cars very quickly lol. I have a V8 itch to scratch and a GTR has always been at the top of my list, maybe one day!

  4. LewisH,

I know exactly how your feeling, I've had my white 65 plate Nismo since March having traded my BMW M4...Yawwwwnnnnn! I just can't get enough of the driving experience. Where did you purchase the red start button?

I keep wanting to fall in love with the M4's as I wouldn't mind something a bit faster! I do find them a bit bland looking though! The only thing I can see me changing my Nismo for is a new mustang, I would love a GTR but the new house build is proving costly 😂 How does the performance of the M4's compare to the Nismo? Must be missing that BHP/Torque surely?

  5. Just an update on the situation, i managed to locate the problem to the boot lid catch as it was infact the catch mechanism that had some play and this was moving up and down at low speed which was causing the noise, nissan have now replaced the boot lid mechanism and now all is well! My boot lid now opens first time every time! So now i have a working boot lid and a nice quiet cabin :)

  6. Well my car went in for it's first service last week and they think they had sorted the creaking noise but after a couple of days it's come back again and i really can't be bothered to deal with there crappy customer service at the moment! They replaced both of the boot springs under warranty but the boot lid still wont open first time  i will probably just put some plactic washers in the spring casing to sort it rather than using pennies! Should have bought german

  7. I will let you know what the outcome is! Hopefully they sort it as it's driving me crazy! It has got louder the last week or so as well. Yeah i've got free servicing for three years and the only mod so far is an exhaust so i will see see how Nissan service is.

  8. I removed my boot plastics last night and still no luck! I think the noise is coming form the boot catch mechanism, i reckon it's moving up and down whilst driving and is causing the noise. My car is booked in for it's first service at Nissan next month so they are going to look in to it then.

  9. They are incredible cars i had the privilege of driving the track edtion the other day and it was very very fast! I would buy one in a heartbeat but the fact that i'm moving house next year means it will have to wait for now. I love the look of the new car espeacially in gunmetal or black! My missus prefers my 370 so it's going to take a bit of pursuading

  10. I'm sure the noise on mine is coming from the boot lid, somedays it's not to bad and other days it's worse, really frustrating! I think taking out the boot lid weight may have worsened it so i may put it back in. I have put foam around the boot to stop any movement from the area around the sub but to no avail. I need to also sort out the boot lid openers by doing doing the penny trick as the boot lid now fails to open at a single press of the button, the weight removal method only worked for a brief amount of time. The car isnt even a year old!

  11. I'm not sure how they fitted the stillen but both tips were pointing towards the right and not centred in the exhaust shrouds, I'm sure a bit of fettlling would sort it though. You've got to expect doing adjustments to the exhaust with the Nismo's having different rear bumpers.

  12. I've got the ARK grip on my Nismo Mk2, it sounds awesome and it does look good! Although I had to get an exhaust fabricator to sort the alignment issue as the exhaust sat to low and the tips did not align as they should do. In hindsight I probably would have got a custom system built as it would have been less hassle and cheaper. The cobra and stillen are good fitments on the mk1 but I've seen the stillen on a mk2 and the alignment was way off I can't speak for the cobra. The ARK sounds awesome but just be aware of the fitment issue. I was going to put HFC's on the car but I feel it would make it way too loud for my liking!

  13. I took the useless weight thing that's bolted to the inside of the boot lid out the other week. It releases first time now no problem.

I did this at the weekend as my Nismo suffered from the boot lid not opening first time and i also had a rattle from the boot lid at low speeds which was driving me mad! Now it's perfect, only took about ten mins to do!

  14. I've never noticed it to be that bad on my Nismo mk2, maybe as it has more sound insulation compared to the early cars. My previous car (Subaru STI) was much worse!

  15. I'm in the same boat at the moment, however I've only had my Nismo a year and I'm already thinking about changing, I get bored very quickly lol. I've been looking at both the mustang and the GT-R but as mentioned I can see the Mustang prices dropping very quickly and I don't think I will like he handling on the Mustang compared to how good the Nismo is. To me the GT-R is something very special, I've always wanted one so maybe next year I will look at changing.

  16. Well i ordered an ARK Grip from Chris at Tarmac Sportz a few weeks back, he was a great guy and the prompt replies to emails was appreciated, i will definitely be buying from them again in the future! I finally got around to getting it fitted yesterday, i was expecting a small improvement in sound over the Nismo exhaust but i was pleasantly surprised that how much better this thing sounds! The noise's it makes on down changes is amazing and very very addictive! Thank's everyone for providing your knowledge on this thread it's very much appreciated!

Any pics or videos of it on your car? I'm contemplating options B)

Hi mate, i will try to get a video and some pics up as soon as i have time. I'm pretty hectic atm but give me a week or so and i will get it sorted for you!
