  1. Dear All, Thanks again for your help. As many of you alluded to it was a cold issue and once warm the roof fits in ok. Costly replacement avoided. Best Pete
  2. Hello Z'drs I need replace a lost key. When I bought the car it was sold with only one key and I would like to rectify this. Is there an easier solution than the whole system needing replacing? Appreciate your help and experience on this. Thank you. Pete

  4. Dave, Thanks. I am out of the country now for a couple of months so the missus is working behind the scenes now. God help me! Thanks for the note. Best Regards Pete
  5. Z Man, Thank you for the prompt reply. I think the motor is OK as it gets right to the end but I take your point entirely about warming the fabric up before trying again. I'll let you know how I get on as the last time I tried it, it had just finished p..... it down. I've also read some of he posts regarding a Mohair replacement. Maybe worth me having a look. Thanks again and happy ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. PED
  6. Dear Zedders, I wonder if there is anyone out there who has previously encountered issues with their folding Roof and the final part of the closure Essentially the fabric roof closes all the way until the very last part before the hard cover drops down to finish the job and seal the unit I think it is a problem with the roof portions not folding correctly making the motor work harder to finish the collapsing of the roof into the recess. The hard cover just remains up in the vertical awaiting the roof to slot into place but without it being seated correctly it cannot close. I did manage to assist it in closing a couple of times but not now (with the wife helping) but I do not want to either carry on doing this or have someone help every time. Plus I fear damaging the gearing on the mechanism. Can anyone shed some light on likely causes or common faults please. Thank you as ever for our help. Best Regards PED
  7. Fellow Zed's, Thank you very much for your welcome and also the advice all very much appreciated. At least I have a few months to plan and I really am looking forward to it. I will put my plans up later in the new year for your info. Keep breathing. PED
  8. Hello fellow Z's, Thank you the originator for setting this site up. Picked up a 09 plate Z Roadster last week and not stopped smiling since! 48 and fully into my mid life crisis!!! Can't wait for the summer. Has anyone got any ideas for two weeks in Europe on a driving holiday. Happy to hear any suggestions. Probably looking at 4/5 stops along the way. Thanks again and the sound you can hear is the demonic laughter ever time I mount up. Keep Breathing. PED
