No, the misfire stayed (again only when hot) but the car refuses to give me a misfire code with any code reader so I cant see if the misfire has moved cylinder

Couple of days back i noticed a misfire on the car when the car was hot. During the misfire the smell of fuel was incredibly potent. If I let the car cool down, it goes away. No eml.was illuminated. It was suggested that I try unplugging the maf and running the car again, this did not seem to make any difference other than illuminated the eml. Left if for a day, arranged recovery, during recovery the car was code scanned and showed: Air mass and temp i understand are part of the same and a result of me unplugging. Cylinder 3 misfire I suspect coil pack. Now, i thought ill swap coil 1 and 3 nusg to see if the fault follows but now the car refuses to give me an error code? Despite trying 3 different scanners from cheap home Bluetooth to professional equipment. So i cant actually see if the fault moved. Whats the chances a coil fixes this? What else could it be? How can I get the car to spit a code at me...

Seems to have gone well, jwt popcharber and z1 plenum spacer both fitted and good to go. Car feels slightly juddery when pulling of but once driving seems to settle, its not in for a tune with dynatune until next month. Would it benefit for the peddle dance maybe? Other than these mods and the full exhaust anything else recommended before tuning? @ZMANALEX @Keith D

Hi all, Finally took the plunge and bought one of these... the instructions say Tighten all bolts to 44-61 inch-lbs. Obvioulsy ill need to look online and convert this to ft-lb or nM as none of my tools are inch pounds. However this is quite big margin, what would be recommended?

Im open to all options really, was hoping for some pros/cons

Having done a brief bit of looking around, im trying to establish which spacer is best to go for on a 04 DE engine ? All signs point to motordyne but that doesnt seem to be available in the uk... So th questions is... Z1, BLOX or H-Dev? Any input appreciated. Just trying to build the last piece of the puzzle before a trip off to tuning.

It only clicks when turning right which I thought would rule out something in the tyre? It sounds as though its coming from the rear of the car but obviously noise travels... guessing I'd need to get it on a ramp. My first thought was driveshaft.

Finally took the plunge and bought myself a zed. 54 plate on 70k miles. Have yet to take it out as I wanted it fully serviced for piece of mind as its been standing for a number of years in a garage. Firstly, the fans dont seem to kick in what could this be? The thermostat was stuck shut so have replaced witb a mishimoto racing one. However more importantly I am going from a FWD hot hatch background to my zed. What advice would you give? Thanks

Hi, Apologies if this is the wrong section! For a long long time i have wanted either a Old style Skyline R34.. or a new GTR... After finally admitting that a decent Skyline or GT-R is not going to happen mainly due to initial cost, i have been looking at other cars.. The top of that list is a 350z, what are they like for daily running ? I go approx. 10k miles per year... Looking at like fuel/tyres/brakes mainly. Insurance/Tax are not really an issue. Also, how would a Zed likely be as a compromise to a GT-R? Is it still likely to leave a cheesey grin? Thanks!
