  1. Hi folks.

I used to have a 350z and decided I missed it and am now looking for a 370z.

However most of the cars I've seen seem to be either missing services of have been serviced far less than the recommended 1yr or 9k miles.

How major of an issue will it be if a car has gone 18k between a service over 2 years. Should I stay well away or not let it worry me too much?

How long is too long between them?

  3. Jay at the moment nothing too crazy but eventually I'd like to maybe supercharge it.

For now it's just basic stuff like fitting an ICE and fitting a sat nac into the top cubby.

But I'd like to know how to do all kinds of things. The more I know the better informed I will be on what can be done.

  4. For all the good intentions I have for my 350 I realise I have insufficient mechanical skills to pull them off.

I was wondering if there was a person or persons within a reasonable distance of where I'm based who might need an extra pair of hands working on their car in exchange for imparting some mechanical knowledge.

    I'm based in Twickenham.

  5. I'm probably using the wrong description..... but while at the Ace meet a few weeks ago I was discussing with someone what might actually be under the panelling for the rear strut brace that goes across the boot in the 350z.

I saw this photo on the US 350z FB forum. This guy seems to have decided to take all the panelling off. Thought it may be of some interest to some folks.

  6. Cheers for the feedback guys.

As for it triggering the sensors I've had it plugged into a diagnostic machine and it had the sensors working fine. The guy checking it over said it was going to be due to it not being the standard exhaust setup.

When I spoke to someone at Horsham they said something similar.

Only problem I have is that the guy I bought the car off didn't have all the cars history. There is a receipt for the exhaust but he didn't know if anything else was done.

Is there a way I can check? I'm not very skilled mechanically but I'm keen to learn.

  7. Hi guys I'm sure you have all seen this on here before bit I need some advice regardless.

I bought a 350 recently. It's the DR uprev engine and came with an aftermarket exhaust system.

It keeps triggering the engine management due to the lamba sensors. I've spoken to Horsham developments about getting it remapped and they have recommended a few adit iona bits that should make a bit of difference to the performance.

I'm sold on the idea of the plenum spacer but are high flow cats worth the financial outlay and are they as problematic for passing mot's as people say?

I'd be great full to hear from people who can give me some input. It's a fair chunk of change so I don't know if it's worth doing or if I'll end up regretting it.

  8. Who can remap without it costing the earth? I don't want Uprev anyway.

£350 I've been quoted. Full custom professional remap. A new sensor plus fitting is probably going to be in the £150 region, so the way I see it is pay more for a guaranteed solution with the added benefit of the car running better - i'm not a numbers chaser.

What area is this? I might Tey the same thing.
