  1. Any ideas where i can get a rubber trim myself?

Nissan specify, in their workshop manual, that the rubber trim, rubber dam and plastic fastener should all be replaced whenever the windscreen is.

I had my windscreen replaced last year and showed them the workshop manual and insisted they replace the parts.

They agreed to pay for and change the parts and I asked to see the new parts before fitting to confirm.

You can find the workshop manual here: http://www.allcarmanuals.com/factory-service-manual-61-Nissan-350Z-Fairlady-Z-Z33.html

You'll want page 11 in section "GW".

As a side note - make sure you take pictures before they touch your car as they managed to put a nice dent in my roof when they were fitting the new windscreen with a mallet....

Took me over 6 months to get them to pay for the repair!

    Hope this helps you!

  2. Don't think it was me, not spotted a red one yet. Seen a midnight blue? HR near Costco one evening and another grey like mine, but with carbon B pillar covers, no waves back yet either..

I'll see you on Thursday though

Midnight Blue HR near Costco might have been me... sorry if I missed you!

I did spot a grey one last night near the A5 caldecotte lake junction. Gave them a wave and got a thumbs up back.

  3. Surely a paintless dent removal company could get that out so as to avoid the risk of a bad paint match?

As above, call someone like dent devil or similar!

Thanks for the advice I will have a look into this, I've not had a dent removed before so I wasn't aware of this being a possibility!

God :scare: how annoying, and i hope all works out ok for you. :)

Thanks, Autoglass seem to be quite willing to help at the moment. Hopefully they continue to be helpful.....

  4. I had my windscreen replaced by autoglass yesterday morning and all went well, except for the new dent they installed on the roof...... (he was fitting the top trim using a rubber mallet and missed the trim  )

They have admitted liability and will pay to fix the damage.

So are there any recommended bodyshops in the Milton Keynes area?

    Thanks!
