Oil cooler hoses shortened and some P clips
And found a weep in the power steering cooler, MOT on Friday so perfect timing.
-
Looking for a power steering cooler if anybody has one.
MOT booked for Friday, so obviously its the perfect time for it to develop a leak.

I dont think the Mocal thermostatic sandwich plate has a sensor port?
The Mishimoto one does.
-
Got a Mishimoto thermostatic oil cooler kit
Mounted, hoses are a bit long
They are AN hoses, so once I have got some proper clips I can cut them down and route them something like this, I will need to make stand offs for the wiring loom.
Also picked up a spare rear diff to fit a Quaife to
And new diff bushes at the same time, currently thinking Whiteline unless anybody has any suggestions?
-
Looking for rear diff bushes if anybody has some? I believe Whiteline is commonly used?

dont you mean your calipers? or you actually want to paint the disc?
Seems to be quite popular to paint the disc hat at the moment, you dont see surface corrosion on the unswept areas of the discs, you can buy coated discs so the coating is only cleaned off the area the pad contacts.
-
Who mapped it for £350?

What do you want to do with it?
I have a scissor lift, you need ramps on either side, or recess it into the floor to drive low cars over it.
It obviously has its limitations, but its still so much nicer/quicker than lifting a car with a jack and axle stands. Lifts the car over a metre off the ground quickly and easily. A nice height to sit on a stool to work on breaks/suspension, also good for body work, engine pulls etc. Exhaust/brake/fuel lines/gearbox are fiddly above the lift, but you can just lift the car up, then lower it onto tall axle stands, or wheels stands, then lie the lift flat.
Whilst it is "portable" you will not be zooming it about the place!
I would like a flush mount twin scissor lift like Keyser listed, but money and roof height are slight inconveniences at the moment.

I can supply them - £815
Quaife QDF11L Nissan 350Z Manual Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential
Let me know if I can help further
Cheers Chris
Hi Chris
Sounds good. Do you prefer to sell through the forum or your website?
Is the QDF11L a direct replacement for a OEM viscous LSD? I thought the QDF13L is used to replaces the viscous diff?
Do you sell the seals/bearings/oil as well?
cheers
Andy

Smooth, maintenance free. I know it will go open if I lift a wheel, but it will be better than an old viscous diff for most driving.
I assume your suggestion is man up and get a Kaaz? How long have you had yours? Have you had to replace any parts?
A lot of track work was the plan, life does not always go to plan though, might still get a few in this year.
It really is horses for courses Andy, and there is always a trade off if the car is for both track and road.
There is a TS 4 hour open pit, track event on Saturday 31st October at Knockhill if you are interested.
Yup, road cars are always compromises, and this time I think I want a road car I can drive on track, rather than trying to build a road legal track car. Still able to enjoy it for a weekend away rather than only enjoyable when hooning it.
31st is now fully booked and my boss is off that weekend so no chance of me escaping for the afternoon.

Does anybody have a Quaife LSD for sale?

nice seat haha
Not pretty but its comfier than stock and will let me drive on track without slouching. Plus as I had the seats its only cost me £8 for flat bar as an experiment, once I have used them for a bit I can get them in black leather if I want an OEM+ look
-
Arrived yesterday, thank you.
-
Did it fail due to play or torn boot?
If play it should be noticeable, if just a torn boot its not noticeable when driving until it develops play.

What about the quaife?
For Girls.
What do you run on your beast?

Picture is of the rear diff bush that is pressed into the subframe on the car.
SPL do solid alloy ones, but I would prefer rubber or poly.
Diff should be great once its in, I swapped a Torsen from a V8 into my S2 and I liked it.
