  1. That does sound good...Well besides you writing the poor Z off, my deepest regards. How much would you want for the engine? The standard or RevUp or HR? Assuming you have the equipment to get it out?
  2. Had plenty of oil in it, driving home, engine switched off and oil light came on when restarted and huge knocking noise... sounded like go kart when you went on the throttle... heartbreaking. Sent it to garage and had the engine out to which the main bearings are unbelievably thin and know the con rods damaged as the new bearings didn't need any pressure to get fitted on... :L Sorry new to all of this forum stuff haha, whats zed shed? I would love to make it into project but simply do not have the time or money atm. So you guys think it would be wise to search breakers for a VQ engine and find a quote for Horsham developments (fairly local and you all seem to recommend it) to see how much they'd charge to put it in? Forged internals just seems outlandish cost wise, especially how much the cars valued at. You mean the engine switched off on it's own like cut out or did you turn it off? Shut off on its own, wasn't fun when i was going round a bend and the power steering went...

  4. Hi guys, I own a 2004 350z which had a very hard life from it's previous owner as i found out the hard way. Long story short the car wore away its main bearings and done some damage to con rod. the main bearings have been replaced as a short term fix, but unsure whether to repair it or potentially go for an engine swap. Just wondering if anyone knows costs and anyone who would be able to do such magical things at fair price in south of UK, Cheers, JW
