Looks like a lovely clean example, can't see this hanging around for too long! :)

    GLWTS!

    Thanks, priced to SELL !!!!!

Thanks for the edit removing phone BTW.

    any queries, just ask!

    £4500 ono.

  2.

It took me a while to find this example with it's manual gearbox & brembo brakes and I have now owned it for the past 3 years. It has seen Europe, most of the UK, has taken mates & family (plus big suitcases in the boot) to weddings, events and everything else inbetween.

Its based on the 350 z so it pulls like a freight train in every gear, sounds great, stops pretty sharpish and with lower profile tyres on the front turns in pretty quick too. This is incredibly stable at high speeds (yes, i even have a photo from the boys in blue for that one) or you can tootle at 70mph & 2500rpm in 6th.... it truly is a great all rounder.

I will be genuinely sad to see this car go, however it is time to get a different car on my bucket car ownership list, no part-ex required....

54,000 miles, New MOT, mechanically sound, good condition, std car apart from stainless catback exhaust, back on generic 05 plates... check out the pics and give me a call if you're interested.

    £4500 ono quick sale price!!!

Stephen EDIT have removed this as your number for your own benefit (internet programmes will find your number and use it maliciously)

Needs new bushings on front control arms and tyres are low tread on rears (as noted on last MOT), bit of age related wear but good condition & sound car.

Air Conditioning, Climate Control, Powered Folding Mirrors, Central Locking, Immobiliser, Remote Central Locking, Electric Seats, Folding Rear Seats, ISO-Fix, Adjustable Steering Column, Power Steering, Trip Computer, ABS, Twin Air Bags, Curtain Air bags, Xenon lights, Fog Lamps, LED sidelights, Electric Mirrors, Electric Windows, Stereo, Shag-pile carpet, 19'' Alloys, S/steel exhaust, Rare 6-Speed Manual Gearbox, Brembo Brakes....... Oh, and a big cheesy grin as standard.

  3. Off topic but you got any pictures of the rear seat conversion and did you do it or buy it that way?

    Nissan 350GT I think.

    Pete

Oh bugger of course! I've seen 350 conversions done in the US but not many here.

    Yes, Nissan Skyline 350GT.

Passenger & boot space is better than most small hatchbacks.

You'd have to hate your passengers if you converted a Zed to a 2+2.

  4. did you go for the option as suggested here of selling the car and buying a "sensible" one for "appearances"

Still got the car but looking to sell as it high speed trouble is not good.

If anyone wants a 350 with rear seats that will happily sit at 140mph+ then just PM me. Spot on car, low milage at a great price

    Lucky man.

However, kudos for coming back and owning up. And I genuinely mean that.

    Cheers. Yes, very lucky.

Also might have something to do with the fact I was early and when signing in held the door open and said hello to an official guy who worked there.... next time I saw him he was one of the magistrates.

  5. I'm back..... yay.

This thread certainly did create a bit of a divide between those who sympathised with me and those of you who just think I'm a tool.

Anyway, I know you're all itching to hear how I either was burned at the stake or got taken into custody and given a good spanking....

I took your advice and gained representation from a lovely lawyer who used constructive remarks like:

"My client is an idiot. He accepts & understands that"

"If my client were driving dangerously he would also be charged with dangerous driving and that is not the case"

"My clients car is easily capable of in excess of 160mph"

and somehow they saw that I was merely a nice guy who sticks to 30, likes kids, works hard and occasionally drives a bit too fast on an empty dual carridgeway.

So they fined and then banned me.

Moral of the story...... don't speed.

    The verdict just for reference..

45 day ban, £130 fine and the worst was having to get on public transport. Ugh.

  6. Tecnocast

    Corsair

    17" / 110pcd / 5 bolt / +47

    Made in Japan

Wearing 225/45 ZR17 2x bridgestone (non legal) and 2x Pirelli P6000 (certainly legal)

Pretty good condition (see pics). there are wheel weights (not on all wheels) and small scuffs which might bother some. Hence asking price for you guys is very very low for these wheels.

    Collection only from Colchester, Essex

    07580 005924

    £300.

  9. I have been to court for two offences on the same day, 94 in a 50 and a 133mph in a 70. I walked out with a 3 month ban which I thought was a result.

Lawyer is the best route if you can afford it. You need to play on how important your job is to your family/life. You need to own up to the stupidity and call yourself a "twatbadger" in court. If you admit fault instantly, admit stupidity but also mention how your job is impossible without a licence, you will get a ban, acknowledge that straight away. Were the conditions dry and clear with light traffic? If so, mention that. If it was rush hour and wet, don't mention it.

Look smart as you can, take out any earrings and sound as posh as you can. The magistrates that will listen to this will be 50+ years of age and part of the "higher society". The closer you can relate to them, the better.

Court is just one big game. I also got a ban knocked down to 6 points so either I am ridiculously lucky or I play the game well enough.

And to people that will get insulted at my words. He is admitting fault, but just trying to get a smaller fine and ban which any of us would do in the same situation.

A bit like getting discount off a new car lol

Even though I've had 5 bans in total(in a space of 6 years), it has destroyed me on insurance and has a been a right pain.

    I paid £6600 for insurance on an 08 M3.

£4400 for a 05 Clio turbo the year before

I personally now, wouldn't do 129mph. Your stopping distance is ridiculous and even after my 2 advanced Police driving courses and 2 advanced bike courses, you really don't know how bad it can go wrong, not for you but for others as well. I never worried about crashing in a car, but hitting someone else due to my stupidity would devastate me.

Good luck, you might get viciously bummed in court but whatever it is, you deserved it, take it on the chin and don't call the magistrate a ****er, i saw that once lol

Genuine advice.... ahh, you lot are going soft ;)

    Thank you.

  10. Well done for owning up OP, careful about what you put on a public forum and head over to Pistonheads if you want some legal representation pointers. There are numerous threads on there with people in similar situations and someone will DM you with advice.

There's already a thread running over there. I started it for him, just to see what folks thought if they just got the facts.

    http://www.pistonhea...h on a 70mph DC

    Thank you, interesting read.

  11. I have a Nissan 350GT that might be for sale...

Rear seats have ISO points and happily accommodate kid stuff.

Huge rear boot, rear seats also fold down too.

It's last loaded outing was for my sisters wedding, all in we had:

Travel cot, Out'n'about buggy, steriliser, suitcase, baby, missus, ton of presents, suit, dresses, kid stuff, stair gate... etc. pretty comfy :)

All 350GT's are imports, took me a while to find mine. Love it.

  12. Come on then, what speed were you REALLY going, as you say you saw him running into the road. That means 129 is your CAUGHT speed AFTER you've slammed the jesus pedal down...

One Nissan 350GT (yes, 4 seats), unrestricted to 155mph+ and one careful owner for sale....

Edit: Sounds like it's alot more stable at high speed that your piffley 350Z's..

  13. Wow, this is a can of worms.... and all i wanted was a pointer for someone who might be able to represent me.

Very much a camp of two types.

    1) Those who are empathetic and understand that perhaps owning a powerful car might involve speed, so long as you're not stupid with it.

    2) ... and those who are mightily scared at the prospect of speed and condone anything but law abiding goodness.

As a note, doing 60mph on a B road through twisties is within the law but on the balance of probability more dangerous that 129mph on a 3(inc hard) lane straightish road. Accelerating hard in a built up area where you're putting more stress through the car is more likely to create a failure and see you heading into a house than driving like I did. Whilst I do have to concede that it wasn't the best of choices speeding I morally sit on my perch knowing that on the balance of probability my choice to drive as i did would not have an impact on other road users/pedestrians in my vicinity, unlike the driving often seen that is 'within the law'.

Out of curiosity, if your car were to slip, fail or head towards something you'd rather not... How many of you have recently done an emergency stop, allowed the car to slide and performed practice skills recently if the worst should happen? If not, you probably should.

For those of you in camp #2, you should probably get on a track and start to understand what you car is capable of, more so you'd probably find your limits first.

    #That is all.

  14. Trouble was, you didn't see the copper: If you didn't see him, then what else could you miss?

That's not me saying that, that's what they'll use against you, clear roads or not.

It's all in a cutting. Fences up top and armco on h/shoulder & central.

Fields bordering it are arable land too.

The only way to get down there is from the road ...

If someone wants to play peekaboo with cars atleast at 129mph it will be certain rather than possible vegetative state.

Sorry pal I don't agree, the point is that at that speed from nearly half a kilometer away you are caught at 129mph, if you missed the copper, you miss everything else. If an animal runs out in front of you and you flip into a ditch and kill yourself think of what impact that has on your friends and family. What if a fault comes of your car, tyre blow out, there are so many things that at that speed end catastrophically. Too many times you hear stories of people who think that all is safe so they want to speed, too many times its associated with people being killed. I'm not going to preach but I really hope whatever gets thrown at you in the coming months you do actually reflect on this rather than aim for the shortest ban possible and then jump back in and hammer it up an A road again.

I saw the copper, plain as day when he hopped out from the trees. Popped my anchors on but ..... and here we are.

I'm a little confused though, you have had high powered rwd & fwd cars... have you never booted it? Have you always kept to speed limits?
