  1. I'm just wondering because I'd rather go without cats if I can get my car MOT'd by a garage. I usually have it serviced by Nissan so is it alright to continue with them knowing that I won't have any cats on? Will they say something to me?

I'm a junior to all this only been driving and owned my car for just over a year and a young chappy ðŸ‘

  3. Yeah I get what you mean Kev because the thought of someone else ruining it would be horrid

Well that's if they get to there local lock up but yeah makes more sense to break them down rather than a trailer? Jeesh they are cheap if car thieves had a trailer they've got some money so they go for the brand new Porsches or Lambo man 😂 because it's obviously going to be a rather large group 😂

Chris your totally right most cars are stolen with the keys and then you'll never see your car again but as you say I'm just informing people of this feature and if they have any work to there dials do not drive them without them in ðŸ‘

  4. Well if the clocks are still installed then they would need your key as that's got the chip in it

Yeah true that dynamic turtle but I have to say where the hell would they get a trailer from unless they are professional car thieves and by then the coppers would surely be able to see the trailer via CCTV on the roads 😂

  5. Hi all

Thought I'd let you all know I had my gauges custom made and all fancy nice colours which took a month and half to do as it takes time and that's via sending them to America to do.

I just want to let you know if your car ever got stolen the immobiliser will kick after 6-8miles and the car won't let you Rev when your in gear so basically the car is shutting down. I pooped myself and thought this is going to be an expensive job when I turned the car off and tried to turn it over again there was no life, however it was because my gauges wasn't in we have a chip in our keys which the receiver for that chip is in our gauges which I didn't know nothing about and I'm not sure wether people knew about it so I thought I'd let you know that if your car ever got stolen it won't be more than 10miles away from where ever it got stolen from :).

In my opinion great system and thank god it has a security system like that after all we want our Z's to be safe and sound.

  6. Oh if you want this done you'll have to get in contact with Bob Hickey from Gaugecraft :). Drop him an email and he will go through the process on what you need to do :) believe me its a wary thing I was scared that it could be a scam but turns out it's the proper thing and the work is great guys so honestly go ahead and do it :)

  7. Hard to explain if you don't know what I mean look at it on YouTube it's fantastic :)

I wanted to drop this on here because I'm changing all my interior lighting to red so I had my gauges all changed to red lighting aswell with blue needles and a white shift light :).

I have copied and pasted from my original forum about asking wether someone could do it in the UK. It's going to tell you the cost in doing this if you want it and I believe it's not bad considering it gives such a nice look to the Z. As I say search on YouTube (350z gauge led conversion) should give you a load of lovely colours. Now there are people in the UK however you won't get the same affect as if you were to get the work done in the states. So I sent mine to America and below will tell you the costs okay :)

    Thanks

Alright guys just a heads up I have my gauges back after a long wait I have them completed not yet back in the car yet but I have them and they look awesome!

Bearing in mind it would be a little cheaper if I took everything out myself but I was to much of a pussy I would feel like I'm destroying my car :O so I had a place do it for me so it was more expensive!

The cost well here it is:

£63 - black cat custom to have my gauge faces made

£60- taking pretty much all electronics out except heated leather seat buttons

£80 - for sending them out

£396 - for converting the LED's but about 80pound of that price was for quick postage again

£60 - to have everything put into place

All in all just under 670pounds now as I say you can save yourself a hundred quid if you take all the equipment out yourself. Also paying less if your not in any rush for postage there and back so I'd say you can knock a good 150-200quid of my final figure.

I also suggest if you do this which my god you should it looks fantastic but DO NOT use your car without the gauges in because the 350z has a electrical security system and you can only do about 6-8miles before the car shuts itself down and immobilisers itself. I learnt the hard way and my 350z had to be toed back to my house and then I had to wait for the gauges to come back and connect them up to put my mind at rest and luckily the car booted up and allowed me to start the engine :).

  9. Thanks guys for the information but I did carry on looking through forums and it does seem that a large percentage took there to RT so I am stuck in a pickle really!

For those who are getting there work done near by to the Midlands area let me know how you get on if you don't mind? :)

Cheers fellas, for those who have got the work done locally to the Birmingham area how do you rate there work from 5/10? Daft question as you wouldn't be suggesting them if they didn't do a great job but it's so I can get a rough idea because I know a lot of people would rate RT above 10/10 by the sounds of things and it's a tough one. Thinking I should bite the bullet pay lots of money and have it done by RT.

  10. Hi all

Just wandering I have been mooching around lots of forums and it seems to me RT is the best place however it's really out the way for me. I'm just wandering anywhere else people have got there body kits, spoilers or front lips fitted.

Closer to the region of West Midlands but will to travel about 100miles out from Birmingham :).

I'm just looking at front lip, side skirts, rear bumper and a spoiler at the moment but wandering who could spray and fit it for me?

I haven't got the kit yet I'm just doing some research ready for when I get the money together I can get it done Asap.

    Thanks

    Guys :)
