  1. Hi all. Has anyone had a price on replacing the stay brackets and w brace on the rear of their z? Mine has got excessive rust and needs replacing. Also anyone know we're I can get the parts and how much? Kind regards Dale
  2. Yeah it's still working great. You don't know how great having spotify in the car is unless you have it.
  3. Hi mate, system is tethered toy phone so has Internet access. Regards
  4. Ok I will try using a few free ones see if that makes a differentce. On my 4th adapter and all the same. So I'm guessing it's the car. I have tried the protocol setting within torque to no luck.
  5. sooo yeah, just tried it on my brother suzuki swift sport and it works.... damn makes it more annoying why it doesn't work on the zed...
  6. i havnt set up the aux because i run spotify from the HU. but its easy to have the wires come from anywhere really.i had the old aux (Bose hack) come from the passenger footwell.
  7. i heard theres a lot of dodgy connectors around so im also gonna try on my brothers car. just odd that the two ive bought are dodgy.
  8. yes plugged in ok. the red light stays on. and the yellow and green LED are intermittent staying lit for 5 secs then going out then back on etc.
  9. yeah i could do with a bit of painting as fitting the unit was a pain due to the dodgy Chinese HU sizes. wires was no issue however as it seemed to be plenty of room. i also drilled 2 lottole holes on the rubber mat within area a sat nav is placed, i got all my ipod and usb cables coming up from them,
  10. the adapters i have are- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221386957116 and http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301102835725
  11. hi guys, ive had a quick look around the forums but cant find an answer, ive now bought 2 different obd2 elm327 blue tooth readers, and have the same issue with both, i can connect both my sony phone and android HU to the blue tooth adapter, however on the torque app it stated that it cannot connect to the cars Ecu. this is driving me mad.. anyone else had this problem?
  12. hi yes i have google maps and waze. they work really well, i live in caerphilly. not to far
  13. Same one I had. That adapter is for the Bose cd player with stereo controls
  14. Depends on what stereo you have. I didn't need one on mine as it comes with 2 additional leads on the stereo loom called key1 and key 2. They just need connecting to the adapter.
  15. No just the harness that I mentioned in my thread is needed. And a patch lead for the steering controls but they are under a 5er
  16. Hi, so I bought an android HU from ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361068379441 I bought the android 4.2.2 version as it is the same hard ware specs as the 4.4.4 and about £30-40 cheaper. I did a simple usb drive update on the unit and it is now running Android kitkat 4.4.4. Anyway back to topic, as I have the GT spec 350z with the Bose system I had bought the harnesses and adapter from- Car audio security. Harness- http://caraudiosecurity.com/29-674-nissan-350z-bose-steering-control-interface-adaptor Facia- http://caraudiosecurity.com/ct24ns19-nissan-350z-2003-double-din-fascia-adaptor-kit The problem I had at the beginning when lining up the HU is that the Chinese double din HU's are slightly larger then the standard UK stereos. Therefor the adapter was too small. I had therefore had to get the dremel out to remove about 2mm from the inside edge of the Facia adapter. The wiring loom was I hoped to be plug and play. However after wiring everything up I found that the stereo was to quiet quiet. After much searching on this forum I came across Busters method of fixing this problem. I done this and followed his method and it works perfectly. Thanks Buster for this thread! So far the stereo is great. Really responsive. I have changed the settings on my phone to automatically switch to wifi hotspot when it detects my stereo. Therefor I have installed spotify on my stereo and have unlimited music to my content!! I have also installed Waze which is a type of social media satnav with live traffic feeds and mobile speed cameras updated by users. It's really handy. Hope this helps anyone deciding to buy one of these units. Dale
  17. thanks for the Reply. yeah i will try the spacers when they come tomorrow. the ET of the Wheels are 35ET. Tyre size for the front is 245/35/19 (P.s. im not lowered) and yes i have removed the bolt haha regards
  18. Hi Guys, im pretty new to the Forum, i have owned my Zed for about 6 months now and decided to purchase some wheels, i have the GT spec Zed so have the upsized Brembo Brakes. the wheels i have bought are the Calibre GT-R (19" 9.5j rear 8.5j fronts) http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/calibre-alloy-wheels/calibre-gtr-alloy-wheels-set-of-4 the Problem i have is that because i have the Brembos on the car. the front Wheels don't fit and require spacers. does anyone know what size spacers i would require? i will only ever go for a hub centric Bolt on spacer as they are the safest for the car. at the moment i have bough 20mm ones but am not sure if the wheels will now rub the arch. have anyone bought these wheels for the car? and if so how did you get them to fit? regards, Dale
