  1. Good afternoon folks!

Its been a while since we had a get together here at Deepcar Autobodies, and thought its about time! So we are gonna have an open day on 2nd of August.

It won't be our first open day... but we are hoping to make it our best so far.

So you get an idea of what goes on, here is a video of one of our other days, recorded by DropOutMedia

    https://vimeo.com/42045967

we had an amazing day but we want more, and a presence from you lot with your fantastic cars would be amazing!!!!

So, what are we gonna be doing?

Obviously we are going to be trying to showcase some of our work, we are a body shop after all so we are going to be inviting back some of the amazing cars that we have sprayed in the last couple of years for you all to see . Although this video comes from the MX5 scene we do so many varied things it would be nice to get you all in one place.

We are also gonna break out the BBQ for people to be eating food off.. in a kind of bring your own burger kinda way. There is also an onsite cafe, they are usually closed on weekends, but they opened up last time, so we will ask them again,, they have a lovely selection in there

We have other talents attending too, like our friend the Paintless dent removal guy, to see to any minor injuries your metal may have suffered (he offers fantastic work at reasonable prices), and possibly offering some of our lighter services on the day too, such as power polishes. We also have the Combustionpunks forum attending and they will be offering merch too so we'll have a little stall on site with tshirts, hoodies, keyrings etc. If you have any requests for Z stuff beforehand just give us a shout or joinn up to the forum and speak to Yetidragon, he's a great guy. There will be a graffiti guy working his magic in the workshop and painting a mural for us, so plenty to see.

We are also up for suggestions of anything else that will help the days entertainment see what we can sort out

Hope to see you all there

  2. Hiya folks,

This year has been a mental busy time for us, and we have had a few lovely Z's through the door now, always a pleasure. So as you lot have been a lovely welcoming bunch we are offering 10% off any repairs and paintwork you may need.

    Thanks

  3. Picked my front wheel up from Dave today. He does an excellent job. I am really pleased with it.

I have my wheels painted metallic black with a metallic silver front face and spokes. :)

  4. Is it a good idea to coat over the hub faces? Whats the likelihood of that causing issues with DTV? I though it was always something that should be avoided?

Yes it is a good idea to mask off the hub face on the back of the wheel,

We do it to make sure it fits snug to the hub

  5. Out of interest, what sort of cash is involved in this as I need to get mine done? How much should I be expecting to pay as a ball park?

Really depends on what kind of job gets done but look to pay between £500 to £700 for both bumpers fully stripped etc

    Dave

  6. Nicely done.

Azure is an unholy bitch to match correctly.

Hard to tell in those pics how good a match it is, but hopefully the owner is pleased

Tell me about it , Azure blue is a Xirallic pearl so tends to colour shift depending on how you look at it in different lights etc, this one has had the rear wings painted before so trying to match someone elses paint is very difficult as there is at least 5 different shades of Azure blue,

But i think we did a good job and Matt was very pleased with it :)

  7. We had Matt drop off his awesome looking Nismo Kitted 350 with us for some TLC on front and rear bumpers,

The front was peppered in stone chips along with a few scuffs and scrapes, and the rear had a nasty scrape in the plastic causing a small hole we had to repair

  8. Looking good Martin :D

    Really glad you like them

    Dave

Dave, keep the ratio mix noted down, they are the closes match I've seen to the original Ray silver. They may be others wanting to referb to OEM spec.

Not a problem Martin i've got the mix wrote down :)

  9. Do you do any refurb work on anodised split rims. My centres are excellent but two of the polished rims could do with some attention ?

    The wheels are Volks GTC,s

Sorry Mate thats not something we can do at this time but we are looking in to it,so we may be able to sort it in due time

  10. Here are a few pics of customers cars we have done

This is a very good friends of ours we did last year for him for the Autosports show. we were still polishing it 5 mins before we were due there lol

This is one of our favourites we did a couple of years ago, its based on a mk1 mx5 called the Italia, we fitted the full bodykit consisting of a full front clamshell, full rear clamshell, bonnet and boot lid, a lot of hard work but well worth the time and effort

This 280zx belongs to a good customer of ours we did a full paint on his Tr6 2 years ago and after selling it he bought this, we carried out a general tidy up on it for him to bring up to scratch,

We also paint a few race cars for the MAX5 racing, Paul at Roddisons Recovery was the Race champion and we have painted over a dozen of his race cars as well as a few others.

This is another Pitcrew Mx5 but also has the rear conversion as well, this one we did for a friend who then got offered silly money from a guy in France so off it went
