I've owned my Z all but a week and have decided it needs to sing just a little bit more

 

Ideally nismo, but those are impossible to find, need a similar thing. Nothing outrageous, just a nice tone.

 

Had a Mugen catback on my integra before this Z and that was perfect. Which is why I'd jump at the Nismo.

 

Trawling youtube the Cobra resonated sounds excellent, not sure what the quality is like on these though? And the drone.. I can deal with a little but it is my daily.

I too had a mugen twin loop on my integra.got a cobra on my z. (Non resonated) sounds great.

Welcome. Mines done 172000 and Feels like new. So don't let 90 put you off that's low.

Went from a dc5 to a 350z and loved it.

how you finding living with the z mate? I do miss the rawness of a vtec but you don't get the luxury like a 350, and a 350 turns more heads than any honda I've owned 😊

In fact wtf. I'm never going to get a sound described to me so just going to go for a non resonated. I will just regain my chav status from when I used to have a 205 gi with a 5" magnex 😮😂

Ok so I get that the non res is loud and maybe a bit annoying between 60-70. Who's had experience with both res and non res? Is res really quiet?

Hi I'm just about to buy a cobra but can't make out from youtube clips which to go for. What's the sound difference in 5 db? Is that a lot and how much extra drone does non res create? If anyone near South or West Yorkshire would be kind enough to take me out in theirs for 5 mins it would be appreciated. Cheers

Just got mine back from deepcar. Wheels sprayed in anthracite, lowered and wheel spacers fitted. Panels all machine polished, great work fast turnaround. Cheers 😉

Cobra anyone? Preferably a non res

 

Ha yeah. I'd be interested in anyone's experience with high milers.... is mine the highest on here? Certainly doesn't feel like it. Everything is tight, interior mint, if anyone looked round it they would think it had done 50k. Most of history is nissan main dealer then there's a void in book and receipts and stamps but then I've found some service stickers from a specialist under bonnet though which I need to look into.

Just got my zed back. First proper drive as I've been working away. This week I've had the wheels sprayed, bit of tlc on the paintwork, spacers on and eibach 30 mm lowering springs. Feels loads better. Thanks to deepcar autobodies. Top job. Promise I will get some pics tomorrow.

172000 haha. On a private plate but originally a 56 reg. I Got it at auctions sold with a warranty. Yeah it's got most of its service history until recently where some stuffs not been documented by last owner for some reason, must have done it themselves as all signs of service are there. Anyway it was cheap as chips and it drives sweeeet. I'm not going to worry about it. I've only driven it for 5 mins as I'm working away all week and sent it to my sister and her fellas spray shop for the wheels spraying.. just sourced some eibach springs and 25 and 20 spacers.... need an exhaust now. Anyone????

Hi. Just bagged myself a 2006 on private plate at auctions. Watch this space I will post pics etc tomorrow. High miler but would be rude not to at that price .

welcome mate.read up about the car on here and take your time. there are plenty around but make sure you don't rush in with your heart as some folk on here have entered the z world the painful way..

Yeah. Good advice. I'm going over to see that one in Belfast I spoke about on Friday. Good price for the extras on it.. do coil overs, rotas, full exhaust, n is more splitter, looks sweet. Fingers crossed she might be the one ������

D2 coilovers and nismo splitter that should have said. My spell check knows nothing about cars lol.

Welcome I have a foot in both camps with a Civic as my daily driver - decent car surprisingly nippy

Yeah I drive a type s gt diesel, although my daily is a big old sprinter. The civics alright but doesn't class as a weekend toy so... onwards and upwards.

I've seen the one I want....... but it's in Belfast 😕😕😂. Suppose it would be a nice drive back from the port though 😀😀

I'd definitely recommend going for an integra type r instead.

Years ago I had a prelude 2.2 vtec and went to look at 2 accord type r's.. They felt slow in comparison to the prelude. Dc2 was best car I ever owned. Food for thought. Good luck
