  1. Thanks for all the answers! I'm afraid the cycling is off the table as I'm too lazy and the logistics of having to take a change of clothes (shirt, tie, etc) and shower at work really do not appeal to me. That's great stuff... I've found this one, would this be the one you are thinking about? http://www.defa.com/...0123/412838.pdf That's pretty much just a resistor that you bold to the engine block and heat up by passing some current through it. No need to move the cooling fluid around but to be honest I thought that moving the coolant would do a better job than simply applying heat to one specific area and waiting for it to radiate... Let me know what you guys think
  2. Hi guys! I was thinking about fitting an engine pre-heater! Bare with me... I've just got my Zed and it's a 2003 plate with just 20K on the clock. I work nearby, I would say about 3 miles from my house so every morning is a cold start and a short journey... not ideal :-/ Given this morning short journey I was thinking... why not fit an engine pre-heater? I've looked them up and found this: http://r.ebay.com/9vyKqZ Seemed like the perfect idea! I would use on these: http://www.kuehlbox-...uss-Set-A460785 So that I could just leave it connected, possibly use a plug-timer so that the power goes on say, at 07:30 so that by the time I get in the engine is nice and warm! Anyways Anybody with any experience with these or a similar solution? I would love to get the opinion of you more experienced guys!
  3. Regarding the wheels I've just got mine done in anthracite and I think it looks great! Not the best photo as it was already twilight but hey...
  4. Hello again everyone I've been waiting for the cargo nets to become available from one of our traders here but it has been a while... so today by pure chance I've stumbled upon this: http://clarkmotorspo...Net/999C1-ZPEUR £39.99 delivered I've got mine already! Just in case anybody is also looking
  5. They just sit in there it seems... unless you want to superglue them down
  6. Oh dear... I'm not having the best day! You just mentioned the asymmetric design and I realised I've ordered TWO  Oh well... I've just sell one on to someone here when they arrive I suppose!
  7. Oh dear lord... tell me about a derp moment! I've left the bloody link out! http://r.ebay.com/UMn4yB They are inserts for the internal doorhandles You just pop them in and voila! I think they look good and give an extra Z touch to the interior
  8. Saw these on eBay and got myself a pair! They have it in multiple colours and they are quite cheap... Less than a tenner delivered! Anyways... Just thought some of you guys might fancy them p.s.: I have no connections to the seller whatsoever.
  9. @Payco This is going to be the 1st car I "do anything with" if you know what I mean... I've always pretty much just kept whatever I bought before stock. I'm starting small with the obvious things such as RDX antenna, window tint and roof and mirrors wrap (glossy back). I've already done the wheels taking from the original silver to an anthracite gloss finish Soon enough I'll do a cold air intake, some hoses and general "beautification" of the engine bay and bank balance permitting I would like to look at getting a better sounding exhaust
  10. Definitely up for a meet up at some point next year! Thanks everyone for the warm welcome By the way, i've added another post with some photos as requested!
  11. Thanks everyone! That number plate was the original one... Makes me wonder if the guy who had it 1st got it by pure chance...
  12. Hello everyone! I've just bought my car a few days ago and only today I had the chance to give it a proper clean. As some folk asked for photos when I posted my message on the "Introductions" thread here they go! It was quite dark already by the time I was done with all the cleaning so bare with me So... She's a 53 plate but has only done 20K miles from new! Absolutely mint inside and out! The only minute detail I could find is a small scratch to the passenger seat where it appears someone sat down with a sharp stud on their back pocket or something like that... I'll be asking around for someone who's got leather filler and pigment of the matching colour and is willing to sell me some Here it goes!
  13. Thanks for all the welcoming messages guys (and you too Lyndzzz)! I'll take some photos during the weekend and get them up here
  14. Just a quick note to say hello to all of you guys (and the odd girl)! I've just joined the forum after finally getting myself a Zed. I've always fancied one and had planned the purchase for quite a while but now it's there, on the drive! Uhu! A little about me I suppose. I'm based in Aberdeen and have been here since the back end of 2006 having previously spent about 6 months living in London. Originally from Brazil I've came to do a Masters degree and ended up getting myself a job in the Oil & Gas industry... met my now wife and hey ho, the rest is history She fancies moving to Brazil for the sun, salsa and cheap booze (can't really blame her I suppose) but for at least a few more years Scotland will be home and I'll be enjoying the great driving roads with the Zed! I'll be lurking around the forums and learning as much as possible so see you guys around Rgds, M
  15. Hi! I've just purchased my 350z! Happy times! Managed to get a good 53 car with very low miles (approx 20k) in great condition but there are a few things I want to get done... First step is to wrap the roof and mirrors in gloss black and get the back window tinted to match. I did a fair bit of googling on the subject but none of the places i've found appeared to be quite up to the task... So, any of you guys had any experience with local window tint or wrap installers around the Aberdeen area? Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated! Best regards, M
  16. Thanks guys! I'll definitely give them a go! Cheers!
  17. Hey man... Mind if I ask where did you get the panel from?
